look at the douglas fight he wanted to get up and fight but and would have made the count but he messed around looking for his mouth guard and the in ruddouck 2 roud 6 look at that round it shows he has a solid chin and heart even in the douglas fight he took a beating for 10 round without going down.

Tyson had lots of heart. Haters say that **** about Tyson. Funny that some of the same ones that say Tyson has no heart are f'n *** Klitschko fans.

In the McBride fight, Tyson's spirit had gone before the bell even rang. He was a regular man at that point, no longer a prize fighter. He didn't want to get up after being pushed down. But then in the corner he didn't like quitting on his stool, although he didn't argue much when they stopped it. I think that is the fight most people say Tyson had no heart in. If you base it only on that fight, sure it looks like he had no heart.

Someone without heart couldn't fight the way Tyson fought though.

Hanging around & taking a beating, in a fight you know you can't win.....does indeed take a certain kind of heart.
But, at a world-class level.....you should give the impression that you are gunning for victory, even while losing.
Did Tyson give you that impression ? He didn't give that to me.
Looked to me like his ferocity-level dropped incredibly once he realized he wasn't gonna walk all over his foe. He kind of shut down in there. A guy like Evander Holyfield.....falling behind made him FIGHT HARDER. Why ? Because he was a true warrior, not a front-runner.

              Masterdirector....
It takes heart to be an aggressive fighter ? Yeah, it does. I sense you admire Tyson for fighting in that risky style.
Interesting.....you praise Tyson for going forward & taking chances in order to get his own. Yet, you criticize, ridcule, & dismiss fighters like Jose Luis Castillo & Diego Corrales for doing the very same thing.

Hmmm....if they were black dudes from your beloved New York City....you'd be ferociously lapping at their TAINTS, bro'. You know it.

I have lost respect for you as a poster, with this. Just can't respect a hypocrite.....& a hypocrite with reverse-racist tendencies, at that.

Hate ? More like realistic thinking.

I don't hate Mike Tyson. I was a huge fan of his during the early part of his career (how could a fight fan NOT BE?).
But, he became ridiculously overrated over time, & still is currently. Combine that with several disgraceful & gutless performances, & I find it hard to worship at his altar.
