My uncle was a fan of Holyfield. He bought Holyfield vs Foreman, but I wasnt even paying attention to the fight. I was there cause we were allowed to stay up late.

After that, as I remember most of the PPV, we didnt pay for them. My uncles, cousins and friends always found a way with illegal cable. The first one I paid for was Mayorga vs ODLH. After that I've been paying for most fights, even Pinoy Power and Latin fury. Last year I didnt buy Hopkins-Dawson. I had better things to do that weekend.

Delahoya vs Quartey. Great fight right there. I gained a lot of respect for Oscar that night since me and my family were rooting for Quartey to win.

              I'm 44...

anyway, when I was 8 I remember watching our US Olympic Team in 76' with Sugar Ray Leonard, and the Spinks brothers, etc....then I remember watching Leonard/Duran II live at a sports club, then on PPV watching Leonard/Hearns at my Dad's friends house, then the first PPV I bought was Tyson/Spinks...had a party and everything and 91 seconds later...phuck!.....then I remember being out with my girlfriend when Tyson got KO'd by Douglas....I remember going up to black dudes in the streets and frantically telling them what happened. It was shocking...the 9/11 of boxing. Then I bought all the Tyson PPV's after he got out of jail...then I didn't really follow boxing for several years after Tyson until Mayweather/De La Hoya....and I started watching 24/7 and it brought me back home. So I purchased that fight, then Mayweather/Hatton, then Manny/Hatton, then Mayweather/Marquez, then Manny/Cotto, then saw Mayweather/Mosley on Closed Circuit in Vegas, Manny/Margarito, then Mayweather/Ortiz then Manny/Marquez.

              Streamed Manny/Clottey and Cotto/Margarito for free...and glad I did.

Will either go see Mayweather/Cotto live in Vegas or buy the PPV...and I'm debating on whether or not I'll buy the Manny/Bradley fight....right now, I'll prob stream it for free...but I might change my mind.

D@mn a lot you dudes are young. Don't know if they even had ppv back then but I remember my uncles taking me with them over my other uncle house the one who had money back then and I saw the Tyson vs. Berbick fight. I was amazed not sure if that was the first fight saw cause I remember seeing some fights on wide world of sports on network tv. But that is one of the first fights I really really remember watching.

I'm not sure if this was a PPV, but it probably was, given the status of both guys going in to the fight. Trinidad vs. Vargas was the first I can remember.

Yeah, he's my favorite fighter also. Total master of his craft. I'm really thinking of going to Vegas for this fight coming up.

Leonard, Tyson, Mayweather are my all time fave fighters.
