Floyd picked Cotto because Floyd wanted to stick it to Team Pacquiao.
Floyd also wanted to stick it to Bob who wanted to match Chavez Jr with Cotto.

I think Floyd wants GBP doing this. We really don't know how jail will affect floyd, particularly if he does something ******(always a possibility) and has to stay the full 90 days. He shouldn't be fighting Manny directly after jail. This creates a viable opponent should Manny refuse the fight (assuming floyd gets out early for good behavior or doesn't go to jail) or floyd stays in jail too long.

Addidtionally, this sets up floyd/canelo nicely for next cinco de mayo.

Worst? Pac made JMM do the same catch weight even though everyone thought JMM was done at the higher weights after Floyd. Wasn't right for Floyd to not make weight for Marquez. Floyd is fighting Cotto at 154 not making him come down to 147 where Floyd is most comfortable. The only thing Floyd did against JMM was not making weight. JMM is effective as we saw from the last Pac fight. Pac could have met Marquez at 140.
