He can pick a guy like John Molina, Mike alvarado, hell even Breidis Prescott.

I know is a tune up, but this is JMM we are talking about here. Cesar Cuenca really? come on now!

At first i was glad the Diaz fight with Marquez is was happening but then I realize Cesar Cuenta is worst of a match up than fighting Diaz.

I hope Cesar Cuenta is not Marquez's last fight. Dude is gonna get wiped out like Likar Ramos.

Isn't this the second time Diaz turned down a JMM fight? Wasn't he initially chosen for the Ramos tune-up fight?

The point you seem to be missing is that some of us care about more than just 'top of the food chain' fighters.

40-0 with 1 ko? how does that even happen?

I don't know why JMM takes fights like this, he could do a lot more for his legacy just by beating some average or slightly above average fighter.

anyways, wouldn't be surprised if JMM gets another 1st round "knock out of the year"

I like Diaz. He's the kinda guy who gave it his best with the tools he had and is able to admit when he was bested. I wish him nothing but the best in his life outside of boxing. I wish people on these forums would give him the respect he deserves. Not saying he's a HOF candidate or even worthy of a JMM match but he's accomplished more in boxing than anyone on these forums has so show the man some respect. For all the people who complain about boxers staying to long we should stand up and applaud these guys who are willing to hang it up when they know they can't do it anymore. Thank you David Diaz for giving the sport what you had and being able to step away when you had nothing left to give.

Mate i agree with everything you say about David Diaz. Im a big fan of his and i feel he could still be involved in some exciting fights.

Fighting Marquez would have made him some decent money so if hes able to knock it back he must be doing OK financially.
