well, for starters, both guys are "champions" now, and its only fair to those guys climbing the ladder to have a shot at the title that they now fight top of the chain fighters... with those belts comes the responsability to prove themselves worthy... you cant have easy fights when youre a champ, in an ideal world they should have to fight other champs or mandatories with the optional non mandatories in between...
i hate when other champs fight bums and more so when one of my own do that... i know your question wasnt directed at me but im sure that many mexicans feel the same...

The fact that they took him off of those ridiculous PPV cards where he beats up on overmatched bums and have put him on HBO against half decent comp has certainly helped my ability to stomach his fights.
