You have some saying he is the most skilled fighter of all time and you have others saying he has a weak resume.

Two examples of overrating him and underrating him.

Whilst I agree he is somewhat "up there" in terms of solely skillls I still wouldn't say he's the best fighter ever in that regard. And, plenty say he is, which I why I feel he is overrated in that sense.

On the flipside, saying he has a weak resume is obviously a ****** statement. And a clear example of him being underrated.

By Casual Fans...YES! All Casual Fans see is a ARROGANT BLACK FIGHTER and they can't look past that and focus on the SKILLS IN THE RING

Just go to any local Golden Glove and Amateur Tournaments around the US...even in the UK and ask those young fighters who is their favorite fighter 98% will mention Mayweather as one of their favorite fighters because they don't focus on the Mayweather on HBO 24/7 talking trash and trying to SALE FIGHTS...they respect and understand the SKILLS IN THE RING!

Casual fans can differentiate the two, they was told Mayweather is the Bad Guy and the Villain so they judge him based on that and not his SKILLS

but you also have some ****** Mayweather fans who GO TOO FAR with the HYPE and want to claim he is the GREATEST EVER and is better then Robinson, Ali, Armstrong...those Claims can also push fans away from Mayweather and make people root against him, just like Pacquaio Fans push a lot of the Hardcore Boxing Fans away from rooting for Pacquiao because those fans go too far

I genuinely believe he is.

I don't think boxing fans give him enough credit. If they do, I don't hear it often.

People generally judge him based on his out the ring antics, and the persona he put on.

I think everyone will look back, and start giving credit, eventually, when he retires.

Or maybe the won't.

Either way, I think he's a special fighter who'll be missed when he hangs up the gloves.

This is boxing now a days for some people. They don't even care about the sport itself but rather complain about what fighter A or fighter B does outside of the ring. Most notable are *******s.

I think boxing experts got it right. He isnt FOTD and is second i believe. If he had of fought and beat Cotto and Margarito way back when and beat Pac as well, maybe we would be standing here talking about Floyd as being FOTD. Maybe if he beat Hatton without referee help and out of his own country he would get himself extra brownie points.
Even though he has done a lot, there is more people think he could have done, and he didnt.So Floyd has himself to blame for not pushing himself that extra yard.

But he is rated very highly so he cant complain. His fans rate him, and some who claim not to be his fans rate him. So hes in a win win situation.

Floyd has a weak resume???

A guy gets no credit for beating G. Hernandez, Manfredy, Gerena, Corrales, C. Hernandez, Chavez, Castillo, N'dou, Judah, Baldomir, De La Hoya, Hatton, Marquez, Mosley, and Ortiz, when he did.

Also, it's the same Manny Pacquiao that is now taking on his first absolute prime opponent since Jorge Solis. And his best opponent selection since Marquez in 08'. And his first actual really legit opponent since Cotto in 09'. Since Floyd retired, Manny arguably lost to Marquez in 08' (the most evident loss of all), had a decent win over D. Diaz, a crappy win over a 145 lb Oscar, very good wins over Hatton and Cotto, than went on a terrible run of Clottey-Marg at 150-Mosley-Marquez at 144, and the JMM fight many thought he lost.

All this guy does is post all day about how Floyd is overrated and how is resume sucks. If Floyd's resume sucks, than Cotto's is an F. Shane Mosley's is a F+. Using the logic of Floyd haters, who say his resume sucks, that's true. It's truly asinine and borderline insane.
