Damn Winky is 40. He wasted 4 years of his career with the two 2-year layoffs. That could've been like 6 fights right there. Floyd did the same(kind of), but at least comes back and fights twice. Wink came back after 2 years, fought Williams and retired for two more years, now let's see what he does after Quillin. If he loses he probably retires for good. It's a shame, I like Winky. He shoulda stayed active after the Hopkins loss.

That Guerrero-Malignaggi fight looks like a blockbuster compare to this. Still buying this, but I wish they would have put more of an effort with the undercard. So far we got two strong young bulls facing two 40-year-olds that are as close to done as a fighter can get.

Winky hasn't fought in 2 years & is already 40 years old & at that age & being inactive for that long, one's gotta wonder how Winky is gonna perform on fightnight..If the Winky from back in the days shows up, then Quillin is gonna be in for a really tough test where he might not look good & could even loose & if he wants to win then he's going to have to fight like he talks, cause Quillin could talk up a storm but not like Malignaggi that even thou he talks a lot, he knows what he's talking about & makes sense..But Quillin just talks a bunch of B U L L S H I T no one really cares about! But if an aged & rusty Winky shows up, then it could just be a good name that will make Quillin's record look a lot nicer..

After the Hopkins fight I think he tried to fight Pavlik but KP's team turned it down because Wright had turned down a fight with Pavlik in the past. I remember he had a guaranteed HBO fight and word was that he was holding out for a bigger payday than they wanted to give him, so he sat and waited for a while and eventually was chosen for PWill.
Pretty sure he was going to fight in Puerto Rico at some point, either as a tune-up for Williams or a comeback fight afterwards, but pulled out with injury. Then he supposed to fight Macklin about a year or so ago and I think pulled out of that with injury as well.
I could be a bit off on some of the details but that's how I remember it anyway. I also think their were promotional issues as well, he signed for Arum, didn't get the fights he wanted and so went back to GBP, or something along those lines.
