lol Not Guzman. Maybe 5 years ago.

My vote would go for maybe Paulie or Khan. Lara/Molina are good as well.

Scotland lightweight Ricky Burns is a decent stand-up boxer. And Zab Judah still has some slickness.

But there's no Vernon Forrest type currently campaigning around Floyd's weight, unfortunately.
                  Linares..but I dunno if he's 40' yet

                    linares ain't slick

                    I'd say peterson # 2 and malignaggi #3

JMM better than both but nut a "pure" boxer

                      king carlos?

malinaggi is a very good boxer.

khan's really not a "pure boxer." it's kind of a funky term. i generally reserve it for great boxers. khan flurries and then uses footspeed to get the hell out of there, and recently he's turned into a bit of a runner into the late rounds.

                      to the TS:

i'll offer some names who are very good boxers (but not floyd opponents, certainly: )
i'd say if you head to 135 you've obviously got marquez, the most skilled boxer outside of floyd at or around the weights, but he does a boatload more than just box
but behind him is linares at 135

that kid is a terrific boxer, even if he's had some setbacks and hasn't proven to be very effective with his boxing.

dzinziruk likewise is a very good boxer, but he's lacking in enough area's where he's not going to be a world beater with it.

tim bradley has very nice boxing skills, but he does like to come forward in certain situations. again, no pure boxer

cotto is faded as well, but he's always had good boxing skills and a good jab

morales bag of tricks is second to none, but his body is so badly faded it doesnt do him much good anymore. still, at his best, though very far from a pure boxer, he had enough skill to outfox manny pacquiao

not a great list, really (many guys are very faded,) outside of marquez, who is still a superb boxer, but who does many other things (like ****ing fight)

at 118-122 you have two of the more "pure boxers"

with rigo's odd ass stylings (if you want to call it boxing. the guy has been in the ring forver and you can call whatever he does whatever you'd like.)

and chemito moreno, who is probably the best "pure boxer" in the world not named floyd mayweather or andre ward.

andre ward is up there as well, though nowhere near the weight. he's pretty damn unbelievable.
