Second best pure boxer around 140-154?

I'm talking in and around Floyd's weight class.

Been a while since we've had a tactical boxing purist match up.

probably Juan Manuel Marquez, wouldn't say he is a "PURE BOXER" though

Yeah, Marquez is probably the best technical boxer outside of Floyd around that weight, even if he has become a bit a boxer-puncher the last few years. Guererro is also quite a tidy boxer. Cotto has his moments as a boxer, as do Bradley and Peterson, but none of them could accurately be called "pure" boxers. Scotland lightweight Ricky Burns is a decent stand-up boxer. And Zab Judah still has some slickness.

But there's no Vernon Forrest type currently campaigning around Floyd's weight, unfortunately.

Word. He was my top 2-3 favorite fighters in '07-'08. That boy was pure talent, man. It's a damn shame he can't get his discipline in check.
