I agree with you that a CW is a weight that balances out the playing field for both fighters. Look at when Pac fought Cotto. At the time Cotto was a WW. Weighing in 1lb lighter than his previous fight isnt asking Cotto sacrifice that much. What about the weight advantage Cotto had on fight night? Funny how nobody brings that up! People seem to forget that Pac is actually a LWW that fights at WW. On one hand they wanted Pac to face JMM @ 140, then turn around and ask why cant he move up to 154 to face the likes of Cotto and Martinez! LOL.
if you are going to move up in weight consequences come with it, i dont wanna hear that ****.

It's not that people believe Pac has to be at a disadvantage, it's that he wants HIS OPPOSITION to give into his demands because he's the mythical #1 P4P. The boxing public is exhausted with Team Pac flexing their political muscle to constantly get what they want. Pacquiao is always getting accommodated because of the company he keeps. There was no legitimate reason to force Cotto to come in at 145, if as you say, "it's just 1lb lighter than his previous fight". Next fight, there's no catch-weight on Clottey, how come he didn't have to suffer one? After that, Margarito is forced to a 150 catch-weight, while Pac weighs in at about 144. Next fight, he fights a faded (arguably shot) Mosley, so there was no reason for Team Pac to utilize a catch-weight. Next fight, he fights JMM at a 144 catch-weight. "Pac is actually a LWW that fights at WW," oh really?? lol, so why didn't he fight JMM at 140 then? Martinez already stated that he would fight Pac (and Floyd) at a 150 catch-weight to accommodate them. Team Pac doesn't even have to FORCE him down, he's doing it for them lol. What did Team Pac do? They tried to play political hardball and say that Martinez had to come in lower than that, but he fought Margarito at a 150 catch-weight, SO WHAT IS THE ****ING PROBLEM lol. How do people continue to defend this bull**** even when the facts are staring right at them?
What I want from Team Pac is to be consistent. If you're going to fight Margarito at 150, you should have very little problem fighting Cotto/Martinez at that same weight. You say you don't have any plans of fighting at JMW again? That's cool too, but don't come around and say Cotto has to come down to 147 because you know if you were in his position, you would be pissed too. Cotto shouldn't have been an option from the start. Arum is a ****in idiot.
and for those you whining about being outweighed or whatever, thats the cost of moving up in weight, not to mention pacquiao pulled that all the time when he was at featherwieght as some of you have already mentioned.
you guys keep hiding behind "hate" and "*****" but you arent reading into the points that people are trying to convey, the bottom line is, there are enough (almost too many) weight classes as it is, why do we need even more just accomodate the so called p4p number 1? fake diamond belts at 145, jr middlweight fights at 150.
the whole thing made a mockery of the words "title" and "weightclass" if you dont want guys outweighing you, dont ****ing move up, simple as that.

Nobody was asking Pac to go up to 154 to fight Cotto or Martinez. It's more like "If you want to fight for the 154 championship, fight the champ at his weight" Who was Martinez...or Cotto now I guess. Also, 1 pound can make a difference. Just ask Bradon Rios if he had to lose an extra pound what he would have done..or Chavez Jr. Sure, bad examples, but iirc, Cotto had already, and allegedly been having trouble making 147. Not saying the extra pound would have even made a difference in the fight out come, but if that's the case, why the extra pound?
There's a catchweight debate going on a few pages before, and someone saying it's just a weight where both people are comfortable at, which in my humble opinion is wrong. That's how it SHOULD be (imo again) but in this day and age, a catch weight is used to benefit a specific party. If you can make a certain weight, and can fight said fighter at said weight (or weight class), there's no need to discuss, but this is a business and everybody wants their fighter to have ANY edge, however slight it might be. Most people will say "Yeah I'm comfortable at that weight" only because they really don't have a choice or won't make the fight happen otherwise. Martinez says he can comfortably make 150...does anyone really believe him?

Tim Bradley is everything the naysayers have said Pacquiao has never faced. An undefeated slick AA who also has speed, great defensive skills and won't just come forward and get hit. Timmy doesn't have knock out power per say, but he has enough pop to keep his opponent honest IMO. And Timmy won't just be there to be an opponent either, he will give everything he has and won't gas out or stop trying.
However, as much as this fight intrigues me, I have to be honest and say it does have the potential to be a stinker. Pacquiao does have a way of putting a normally active fighter on the defensive all night. Not that I think Tim will, but there's gonna be a lot more movement in this fight then Pac is used to (only Tim won't "run" like Mosely did). Two slick and strategic fighters fighting each other isn't neccessarily a recipe for fireworks.... but for me, it will be interesting. I don't know if it will be for the casual fans though.

I have seen many of Tim's fights n I just don't see whats so great about him. Can someone please explain how this C+ fighter all of a sudden is a great match for the Pacman? And being undefeated doesn't mean much with the quality of opposition his been facing.
