why do ppl keep saying they should put Proksa instead of Winky... its because yall are DIE HARD BOXING FANS..... for the "Avg" boxing fan... they won't even know who "Proksa" is..... I myself, follow boxing and even box... and I dont know who Proksa is..... let alone the ppl who only watch the big ppv fights....

Everyone knows winky for the most part... so this will help PPV #s... to have mayweather, cotto, canelo, mosley, and winky all on the same card... reguardless how old he is... its the name they are going for

Proksa vs Quillin, the avg person will be like o jus another undercard of unknowns..

You can't look at this from a DIE HARD Boxing fan perspective... GBP are trying to do #s, more-so than giving u the fight u wanna see... familiar names sell

yea, it has been and its been the worst its ever been in history. i guess u must not know the history of the middleweight division. and its not ****ty because theres no american champions, its ****ty because everyone there either sucks or the ones that dont dont wanna fight each other. and a lot of it has everything to do with the fact that its run by europeans who are content to stay in their countries holding onto belts. and btw my fav middleweight of all time is carlos monzon followed by marvin hagler, so no, im not saying this because i have some hatred of foreign fighters. the mw division is horrendous. oh yea and sylvester is a eurobum.

I wouldn't say its better than Quillins win over Brinkley.

Yeah it's perfect for the casual boxing fan who tunes in to watch a PPV once every three years considering that's the last time Winky fought. Just like they did his last fight vs Williams when he had been off for two years. Golden Boy building up their hypejobs the best way they know how. Disgraceful. What's wrong with making a Lee fight.

This fight will make Kid Chocolate a house hold name. There will be more PPV buys than any fight in the last 5 years if not of all time. Unfortunately, Petey is fighting a damned if you do, damned if you don't opponent in a past his prime Winky.

It's like what happened when Winky fought Tito Trinidad or when Petey fought Antwun Echols. This fight wouldn't be happening if DiBella wasn't such a fake and made the Andy Lee fight happen on St. Patrick's Day at MSG. GBP did their part to allow the fight to happen.

Proksa, Sylvester and the other strap holders are ALL Euro TRASH! Proksa just beat a washed up Sylvester who has lost his last 2 fights by KO. Sylvester has lost every fight he's had to anyone worthy of mentioning in the sport of boxing. Since you want to compare resumes, that doesn't compare to Quillin win over Echols, Brinkley and McEwan. Your comments make it seem like your username should be Dr. Clueless.

A convincing KO by Quillin should make the fight worth paying for.

                1) Sylvester had never been stopped. He went the distance with Karmazin, Sturm, Geale and had a KO win over Castillejo yet was destroyed by Proksa in just 3 rounds.

                2) The other Euro belt holders Golovkin and Pirog would destroy Quillin.

                3) Quillin has all the fluidity of a robot.

You're looking at the wrong boxrec page, bro.

I can't believe you still think Echols was a good win. He hadn't won a fight in almost FOUR years when Quillin fought him. FOUR. And has lost every fight since then.

You seem to know what's going on with Quillin. Just wondering, has Quillin's team pursued a fight with Pirog? He's a belt holder that would gladly come to the US to get a fight on HBO. I'm assuming Quillin is after a belt like everyone else, but Sturm and Chavez obviously will never happen. That only leaves Geale and Pirog. After all, Dibella said "Beat Pirog, you get Sergio Martinez."

Never stopped? Doesn't getting KO'd in the 1st round and TKO'd in the 8th count as being stopped? Supposedly Golevkin and Pirog will destroy everyone but won't leave their countries for a fight. And even if they did, they couldn't get a draw worth any money!

After DiBella said that, Quillin said he'd fight anyone even if he had to travel to Russia. If the money is right, he's willing to fight. Lou isn't even a good matchmaker with his fighters, so he shouldn't be trying to matchmaker other fighters. He said Quillin didn't deserve Sergio and then matched him against Barker. He wouldn't budge on the purse for Andy Lee at MSG and GBP did what they had to do to make it make sense and he still avoided the fight. Pirog has been out of Russia twice in his career, once in Germany and once when he whooped Jacobs. This isn't my opinion, it's fact. These guys live in countries where the cost of living is a notch above third world. They will milk the belt and avoid any competition as long as they can.
