No my man... IT'S GONNA BE AN ALL OUT WAR CASTILLO VS CORRALES STYLE!
    Ok perhaps not, lol.

I have faith Quillin will bring it to Wright, that being said I don't feel that he is recklessly going to attack as he did early in his career (understandable to build up his name), it would play well into Winky's style. Quillin has been trying to polish himself more as a boxer-puncher lately and tweaking some flaws.
As far as people feeling it's not worthy PPV material, I say you never know what trick an old dog can pull out of his bag. I remember pre Casamayor v Katsidis there was large crowd so to say claiming it would be boring cause of Casa's potshot-grab style and was becoming old. I'm sure you know what happened afterwards.

Chances are it could be exciting - Kid Chocolate will HAVE to bring the "Excitement"

I'm a big fan of kid chocolate I just don't think winky is the kind of opponent that is going to make him shine. quillin can be pretty cautious or hesitant at times and I think if the idea is to have him look good they need to have a guy who is willing to open up, not some defensive guru. then again I'm sure winky is purely for name value not because it's a good style matchup

          No, timeline went like this.

1)Peter Quillin is offered the fight
          2)Offer is rejeted
          3)Barker fight is signed
          4)Quillin then calls out Martinez
5)Dibella says he doesn't deserve it (Assumption is that something better will be available after)

Lou isn't even a good matchmaker with his fighters, so he shouldn't be trying to matchmaker other fighters.
Lets ignore Dibella for a moment. Even if Dibella is a dirty liar and won't really give him Martinez, does Quillin not want his first world title? Seems like a good move to me regardless. The only belt available in the US is Chavez and that's never going to happen for Quillin. And he isn't high enough in the belt rankings to be a mandatory yet. Why not Pirog? As an American, Quillin would have a lot of leverage to get Martinez in the ring with him if he wins Pirog's belt because HBO would be more likely to push for the fight. (aka offer more money)

Pirog has been out of Russia twice in his career, once in Germany and once when he whooped Jacobs. This isn't my opinion, it's fact.
Uh, he's Russian and only has 19 fights. Of course the majority of his fights are in Russia.

They will milk the belt and avoid any competition as long as they can.
Is this just an assumption or has Quillin's team tried to get Pirog before and he said no? I've also heard Peter Quillin say the same thing about the other title holders not wanting to leave their home country. The whole point of me asking is because I'm wondering if there has been any negotiations between them. You seem to have some inside knowledge on that. Pirog has been all over the press saying that he's been trying to get a fight in the US, but can't. Showtime apparently rejected a title unification fight against Daniel Geale. Now I'm wondering if he has tried to get in with Quillin because it would be easier to land a fight against an American fighter.

I mean, just giving a quick glance at Pirog's and Quillin's resume, Pirog has had much better competition in terms of fighters with decent win/loss ratios and experience. So it's hard to see the evidence that he's actively been avoiding competition. (except for Lara )

Timeline definitely didn't go down like that with Sergo. That's almost how the Lee timeline went accept for the fact that GBP were willing to waive their commission to allow the fight to make sense and dollars for Petey. Then DiBella back off protecting another one of his fighters. The fight is only weeks away and an opponent has yet to be named for Andy.

Unfortunately for us, pro boxing is more of a business today than a sport. Throw in some politics and over protective promoters and we never get to see the best fighters fighting the best. There is no money to be made in Europe, especially Russia.

Do you really think Lou would say Petey was undeserving over calling him a coward for not taking the Sergio fight? Come on now! Even Martinez's adviser Sampson Lewkowicz stated that Petey would never get a shot at Sergio. Most recently, Petey approached Sampson at the press conference for the Martinez fight. Sampson wasn't as animated as he initially was and stated this was not the venue and GBP's Schaeffer should be doing the talking, not Petey.
