oh wait..... you must be one of those guys who kept whining about cotto not jabbing enough when everytime he did he got tagged with a left or a hook over it.
and if pac can time cotto , floyd will have a field day.
Pacquiao beat Cotto mostly because his physical advantages. Fast, quick, and Cotto couldnt handle the speed. And come on? outbox? We really going to sit here and act like Cotto had a credible trainer to at least give him a decent camp and a good gameplan? Cottos trainer had no experience in world title fights, did he? Thats bull****. Theres a reason why fighters have trainers, if not why hire one? To just watch you?
Pacquiao beat Cotto because he was simply fast, could do whatever he pleased on fight night, and Cotto had no corner gameplan to at least slow him down. Cotto was basically fighting however he felt was fine. His balance was horrible and he just didnt know what todo after. I dont call it outboxed, though you can make a point for it, but it was mostly physical advantage than skill. IMO.

Mayweather-Cotto is going to look more like Mayweather-Mosley than Mayweather-Ortiz, just my thoughts.
Mayweather was beating Ortiz handily, but Victor has more head movement than Cotto and is quicker when throwing his punches if you ask me. A lot of times, Cotto just backs up or stands there bouncing a bit, and than drops his hands to throw his punches, and he's not as quick with them as Ortiz is. I also think Floyd respectd the explosive attacks that Victor could produce, and he did with Shane to an extent. After the first few rounds, Floyd lost respect for Shane, and when Shane would drop his hands at all, Floyd tagged him and beat him up pretty good at will. If Floyd can get Cotto to back up and if he loses respect for Cotto, we'll see Floyd tagging him at will once Cotto drops his hands, much like the Mosley fight.

If he manages to back Floyd up thats half the battle, get him to cover up then **** the body. Floyd in all honesty, doesn't really defend his body all that well. He just takes alot of body punches. Of any punch he eats the most, its body shots.
Its a long shot but I wouldn't say Cotto has absolutely no chance. Depends which Cotto shows up.

The primary reason that Cotto has no chance, is because the Cotto that had a chance we haven't seen since the 6th round of the first Margarito fight. Unless Floyd has lost something big time, or Cotto rediscovers himself. This fight is a paycheck for Cotto, for which he'll take a beating.

Cotto at 154 is dangerous and a huge threat. I expect this fight to be competitive until round 7. That is if cotto does not land a good punch and KO's Floyd before the 5th.
But Cotto is a slow starter and he has a history of beinn hurt early.
You see what I did there? You see why the outcome of this fight in inevitable?

Here's my list:
- Floyd is faster
- Floyd has a better chin
- Floyd is almost as strong as Cotto, and actually will be stronger by round 6, because;
- Floyd has better conditioning and Cotto will tire
- Floyd is the smarter boxer
- Floyd knows how to smother a left hook to the head and body
- Floyd is taller and has a longer reach
- Floyd has more heart than Cotto
Cotto needs to get lucky and whack Floyd with a huge shot to the liver or chin, or hope Floyd get's old overnight and has his first bad night in boxing. Luckily the weight also favourt him, at 147 he would certainly be stopped and may even be stopped at 54.
