I agree Floyd is an idiot for asking for a 60/40 split before negotiation, because he should have waited until he gets them at the table. At the same time one can't just ignore Arum and Pac's lack of effort and all the spins and delays. This tells me Arum is trying to play chess and see where Floyd makes a wrong move in the media to capitalize. It's plain, since the last sequence of events surrounding the fight that Arum and Pac don't want it, and Floyd is just giving them loopholes upon loopholes to jump through. You guys need to wake up and see what's really happening. Whether you like Floyd or not is no reason to allow yourselves to look like tools in Manny's defense. They never wanted the fight from the beginning. They are toying with Floyd to let him show his hands thinking he's in a real deal of a game, but it's just a sham.

I can tell you one thing and it's that Floyd has patience, for i would have been fed up a long time ago, from the dates-game played by Freddie Roach back in 09 when they went on Fight Clottey. It's Floyd's greed why he's still concern about Pac and chasing him.

it's pac's fault for not calling pbf's bluff from the very beginning. pbf would have been exposed much earlier. it's been clear to me that pbf just pretended he wanted the fight. having a hardline stand on every freaking thing is not the picture of a guy who want to challenge himself and prove he's the best.

He started to duplicate that formula and it has served him well. The difference between Floyd and Oscar is simple, Oscar took challenges and fought the best.

As far as comparing Manny to Floyd when Floyd fought Oscar is crazy. Floyd was making $3-$4 million a fight before he fought him. He was in no position to dictate. Oscar was the best opponent he'd ever faced and was the star at that time. Manny was as well. Floyd and Manny are already proven stars and Boxing attractions. The fight has to either be 50/50, or 55/45, winner take's the lions share. Makes sense? I think that this proposal of 55/45 should happen more in Boxing. If a fighter is confident of victory, sign that contract! You can't go pricing yourself out by demanding 70/30 or 60/40 when the guy you're fighting does bigger pay-per-view numbers than you do! It just doesn't make sense. I've always said that when a fighter starts concentrating to much on the money, they eventually will fall. Now Floyd just blew the biggest fight that he could be in by demanding thngs and trying to dictate. He must of forgotten that it takes two to make a fight, meaning you have to be a professional and not an ignorant and arrogant fighter like he is.
Agree.....you can't ask for the bigger share when you need to offer free room, free buffet, and free limo ride just to sell your tickets off. Even with all these special offers it's not even sold out.

Floyd is one of the greatest negotiators of our time. He has only 1 proposal and if you don't agree negotiations over.

tell us something we dont know.

as floyd says "if your the best, take the test"

so floyd, when are you going to take the test by fighting the best?

incase he didnt know, victor ortiz and miguel cotto aint the best.

pacquiao is just as bad aswell. the pair of em are clearly not that arsed about making the fight.

and this is why i wont be buying none of their 2nd rate fights.

everyone knows the score, felon floyd loves money but what's most important is the number 0. he needs his legacy to read undefeated and why risk it at this stage of his career. he's scared to fight the best to get there and with that his rep will forever be diminished. he'll go down in history as the one who ducked money manny. his demands for 70/30 are all a ruse to not enter the ring with his worst nightmare.

Floyd got cotto now cause it'll be an easy fight and negotiation will be even easier since cotto is not with top rank but don't act like it was bobs fault the fight didn't happen years ago. By no mean am I backing bob up but lets face the truth bob didn't demand for ost did he?

Let me take you down memory lane. When Cotto first tried to make the fight with Pacuaio,Pacquiao turned it down,But after Cotto struggled with Clottey then all of a sudden Pacquiao wanted to fight cause Cotto did`nt look so good.Plus he forced Cotto to catch weight which Cotto reluctantly agreed.

Floyd on the other hand first called cotto out after he Beat Gatti to unify with and Cotto never replied and Arum said Cotto was`nt ready.

Pacquiao knows this is a more improved Cotto so he`s trying to drain Cotto again to have a big advantage. But this time Cotto put his foot down and refused to let Manny drain him.

Floyd did`nt ask for no catchweight.
