Is it conceivable that Arum would pay a fighter to lose?

i too thought clottey would put his earmuffs on and have serious trouble with the hand speed and the in and out motion

i didn't expect him to be completely shut down, though
i thought he would walk right through the punches and move forward and look to throw the jab at least a bit more

clottey had fast hands himself at his best. i wasnt expecting him to get totally blown out, but there's no way he took any money to go out and do that.

collazo hit the shelf after the berto fight
    likewise with kotelnik after alexander.

i'm sure we could go back and find penty of others

Okay...all fair points. Good arguments from your side as I can definitely see a lot of what you stated happening.

Everyone has there own way of judging fights and look for particular things. I don't count those as robberies.

For instance if one guy was pressing the fight and landed more punches, and the other guy was more accurate and the better counter puncher.....I can see a judge scoring the fight for the aggressor and the other judge scoring the fight for the counter puncher.

I'm not of those fans that cries conspiracy after every bout I see. IMO robberies are bouts in which a guy is clearly the dominate guy. Robberies like that hardly happen in the sport (maybe 1 or 2 fights per year at most).
I think not. You'd be surprised.

You need balls to beat Manny Pacquiao. I'm surprised Clottey didn't quit. Actually, he sorta did.

TBH I think the Abraham vs Dirrell and Dirrell vs Froch fights showed that Clottey vs Pacquiao wasn't set up. Hell even the Wright vs WIlliams fight proved that as the same thing happened in all of those fight in which a guy with a high guard defense gets outworked by a guy throwing a **** load of punches.

If anything it's just that style of defense was exposed.

                  exactly

you start off as a local judge. guys dont get flown in from all over the country to judge a fight with a 2 thousand dollar purse at some club.

these guys are day jobbers anyway, or retired professionals and the like.

you want the favor of the big time promoters?
                  want title fights?

you know how to get there. and it aint throwing a wrench into the plans of your boss by giving his fighters L's

                  you're very right
i havnt been to a fight card this year, but i see plenty of guys get robbed each year, from the bottom of the card moving up.

I can only imagine what it's like on your side of the hood. I can just tell based on things GBP does that they sure do favor the CSAC . And I'm sure that's returned because if a promoter doesn't like your style...peace! I won't get too far into it but...yeah.

Yup, that's exactly how it goes. Boxing is really bad when it comes to curroption. Honestly, we're probably the worst. Yes, steroids are rampant, yes people are paid off, Yes people do all kinds of stuff with regards to the ring, the mat, the gloves, YOU NAME IT.
