    What do you think???
a more accurate description would be his POPULARITY would take a hit.

a legacy is the sum of all your accomplishments. regardless of what happens with his fight with Bradley, most likely manny would still continue to fight. and even IF he would lose all his fights from this point on, it wouldn't change or tarnish his legacy.

an excellent example is muhammed ali and tyson. they lost badly on their last fights, yet they are considered to be among the best of all time.

You are the most bias Floyd hater on here, I was just asking an honest question.

You have gotten more delusional as time passes. When I started here back in July, you were a bias poster, but still somewhat sane. Now, all bets are off with you, it's truly ludicrous the s**t you spit on this board.
IMO if he loses to Bradley, this IS a big deal.First he gets a gift from a blown up lightweight in JMM, then a jr WW....if Floyd was to lose to these guys, these forums would be crashing for weeks!

Depends on how he looks in defeat. If he shows signs of age then no his legacy would not take a hit.

If he shows signs of being confusion, unable to deal with what Bradley has to offer despite being physically capable at the time then his legacy so far as the higher weights are concerned would be questioned. ( The significance of his wins over DLH, Clottey and Margarito).

For me there would be no real change. I already rate him highly but it isn't because of his wins in the higher weight classes.

Pacs legacy won't take a hit, in the books his accomplishments will be remembered.
It will be talked about for weeks after that, it will just die down like any other fight that has come and gone.

IMO his legacy is secure as it is. A loss at his age to one of the best young fighters in the sport wouldn't be able to take away from his accomplishments.

                    Ahhh ... contraire mon frere!

Manny Pacquiao will always be popular as his fanbase could care less about whether he wins or loses.

If Pacquiao were to lose to Bradley his legacy would take a hit.

                    Why you ask?

Its because REAL FANS would then have to ask themselves "Wait a minute .. how did he beat all of those big, bad welterweights and just lose to little asss Bradley?"

Manny's wins at WW would then be scrutinized by the casual fanbase. They would eventually see the pattern that many of us have been pointing out for years.

6 opponents coming off losses starting with DLH(not counting tune ups)

Using catchweights in a division where he could make the limit

Facing three Top Rank Promotion fighters in a row(conflict of interests)

Avoiding top talent until someone else beat them first(e.g. Mosley begged for years)

Getting embarrassed by Marquez in what was supposed to be Manny's most dominate performance of his career, according to Roach and Ariza.

All that has already happened and Pacquiao is still popular.

Has a large portion of the boxing world finally acknowledged that the guy is quite a bit of hype? Yes.

Does his fanbase still devote large amounts of time and energy to have him deified? Yes.

Did Marquez expose Pacquiao's lack of versatility, in-fighting ability and defense? Yes.

But Pacquiao is still EXTREMELY popular.

A loss to Bradley at this point in Manny's career would only serve to reinforce the doubts that were raised in his match against Juan Manuel.

Bradley is smaller. Bradley is less experienced at this level. And Bradley is not as skilled as Marquez. A loss at the hands of Bradley would be severe for Manny's legacy.

In fact, if Manny doesn't absolutely blow a 140lb Bradley out of the water, the Marquez cloud will continue to loom over his public perception and his fans will continue to make excuses such as he's getting older despite him being younger than Mayweather.

i voted False, Pac's legacy is already secured, what he have done in the past are etched in stone ...

IMHO if he losses to bradley or any other fighter at present time it will just put a limit to his accent on the ATG List as it is now he is still going up...
