  • Arce beat vasquez jr more convincingly than donaire

Donaire dropped him. Arce finished him. So this notion that donaire-arce wouldnt be the least bit competitive is silly. It'd be foty contender and infinitely more entertaining than a rigondeaux fight.

Arce deserves his chance at cashing out and opportunity to go out on top.

while i'm all for the safety of a fighter the arce stoppage came after vasquez father tossed a water bottle at the ref (cortez i believe.)
he looked arm weary and like the body shots were starting to pile up more than anything
it was a stoppage to protect him from further damage, not one that came because he was unable to continue.

he never got dropped, (as you stated,) and he was winning a lot more rounds than he did against donaire.
he started strong and was landing the cleaner punches throughout much of the fight. donaire dominated most stages of the fight and hurt him worse than arce ever hurt him.

power to arce for getting the job done. they say every great fighter has one last great fight

the *****storm over donaire is mostly RIGO BASED
    think about it
who was getting this hard on donaire until rigo bashed on ramos?

you think ramos would do anything other than get roughed up horrible by donaire?
he would have looked a hell of a lot more spectacular than rigo if given a chance to fight ramos

rigo looked boring as hell until he started to land the left hand down the center and back ramos up.
    and then ramos simply quit

fighting a better fighter (which vasquez jr certainly is. vasquez wouldbeat the brakes off of ramos,) is going to leave you looking less spectacular

I answered this in the other thread so I'll just paste my response here.

I don't know how you came to that conclusion. Arce/Vasquez was fought tooth and nail. Arce got dropped, yet rallied late to force a stoppage at the very end of a fight which was dead even on two of the judge's scorecards. Donaire wobbled Vasquez early, dropped him in the middle rounds and won comfortably on points. It wasn't an emphatic KO like we've seen from him in the past, but it was far more convincing than Arce's win because Vasquez never looked to be in with a chance of actually winning the fight.

I'm a big Arce fan, I actually picked him to beat Vasquez and won a bit of money on it. The fact is though, Arce is too small for Donaire and doesn't belong at 122 anyway. I can't seen it being a FotY contender at all, more likely an easy night's work for Donaire, ending in brutal fashion. Yes, Arce deserves to make good money, but this fight is a waste of everyone's time. Donaire says he wants the best opponents, therefore Nishioka and Rigondeaux should be his next two fights at 122.

No he didn't fight was fairly even going into the last rd. fool. Vazquez exchanged blows with Arce had he done the same throughout the fight with Donaire he would have gotten KTFO!

I never said arce dropped him. I said arce finished him. Regardless of how it was a legitimate stoppage. Vasquez would have gone down for the count if sr let it continue.

Donaire KOs Arce inside 6 rounds.

            Triangle theories...

Usually against common opponents its the guy who got the KO thats deemed more impressive. Not in this case.

Vasquez tried to win vs Arce, Dropped him, boxed well but his corner recused him in the last round when he was gassed. Donaire, dropped Vasquez, wobled him and made him fight scared. Vasquez never really opened up and did what it takes to win a fight. Therefore Donaires win over Vasquez was more impressive than Arce's IMO.

Should Arce ever face Donaire I think Donaire destroys him personally.

I would say Arce's was more impressive but Donaire was more dominant.

Shadyfizzle is gonna feel like a fool when donaire-arce goes down.

This will be your introduction into that one boxing phrase you may have heard in your 2 yrs following boxing- "styles make fights".
