Indeed. I give them credit though, at least they came out and admitted it, instead of trying to pretend otherwise like some people do. I'm afraid HBO is not going to show many HW title fights in a long long time

Too bad. Not showing the heavyweight champions is like not showing the Grand Slams in tennis or the Super Bowl. It's a very xenophobic attitude they are taking.

Boxing needs to get away from HBO badly. They're letting race distort their judgement and hurting the sport because of it. HBO are the worst thing to happen to boxing in history ... they are what has gone wrong with boxing. They're a niche channel who hoard boxers from other networks by paying ridiculous sums of money in order to fund their original programming.

Vitali and Wlad get the highest ratings on HBO consistently and ask for little money back. Yet Bradley gets moderate ratings and they pay him millions? WTF?

Given matches like that people want to see, HBO would air them again. Fights like Austin and Johnson is why they are not in the regular business anymore. It's not bias. There are just better ways, and better fights, to spend money on.

Not that they always end up doing that. There are only so many dates to go around.
