America is a "take my football and go home" nation when it comes to being on top. When America isn't riding high, the people quickly lose interest.

Americans are not interested in watching two "Russians" dominate, no matter how good they are. After all, didn't Rocky beat up that nasty Russian feller in Rocky IV? The Klitschkos didn't read the script!

There is no heavyweight fight that I would dish out big money for right now, if I was HBO.

Except for Klit vs. Klit and we know that isn't going to happen.

Their boxing budget is better spent making great fights among the lighter weights.

You have to be an an American heavyweight or any weight it seems to gain interest due to the time difference from the looks of it. Look how they were with Arreola till Vitali destroyed him. Look how much trouble the lower weights get as well to get HBO coverage. I'm talking about the 105 and not much higher.

And he's 100% correct in that assumption.
Herschman is saying Vitali doesn't make anyone watch. If Viyali Haye would get ratings they'd have it on in a second. But hwen the better Klit fought Haye, both guys looked like **** so who in the hell would want to see anything like that again.

          Be objective.

Yeah, yeah, dream on. Just wait for K-bros retirement, that's when American "prospects" will crawl out of the burrows in which they hide now. Than you get your "excitement" and "golden age" again. Tiresome hypocrisy ******s
American heavyweights suck, and outside of the Klits so do the rest of the heavyweights in the world. Its just a crap era and it has nothing to do with nationalism.

Yeah it's gotta be nationalistic right? Funny how a fictional movie is always invoked when the fan base of these guys can't accepted that not everyone finds these guys exciting. Yet fighters like Pac, Cotto, Hatton, Froch and even JCC Jr have drawn plenty of fan interest.

HBO use to have the Klits but they simply didn't inspire interest. It's a business decision and you can't blame them. Has nothing to do with where they're from though as plenty of other fighters have come here and been successful on their network and others.

This is ******. Vitali v Haye would get good ratings on HBO as would Wladimir vs Arreola.

****** of Hershman to just outright dismiss any HW fight.

Its not like they have experts crunching numbers, looking at the statistics and probabilities and have been directly involved in the business for years, it just pure bias against the Klits. What would HBO know that Klits fans couldn't fix and do better, right?

Their ratings would not be as good as other fights they can put on. So HBO would have to dish out a lot of money for lower ratings....not a smart business decision.
