This is why JCC JR calls the shots.

Until Sergio Martinez can sell out an elementary school cafeteria, he has no business calling out the El Dinero de Vaca.

His fight with Macklin at MSG is almost sold out. Only cause irish boxing fans though martinez does not really have a concentrated fan base just boxing fans are fans of him.

MANILA Philippines – The super bantamweight clash between Nonito “the Filipino Flash” Donaire Jr. and Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. scored big in local television ratings last Sunday.

Citing numbers from Kantar Media – TNS National Household Ratings, Philboxing’s Ronnie Nathanielsz reported that the Donaire-Vazquez bout aired on ABS-CBN garnered 32.6% ratings for Total Philippines while GMA 7 rated 15.0% on the same timeslot.

“The highest ratings were registered in South Luzon with a phenomenal 49.7% followed by Mindanao with 44.6% and another hotbed of boxing, the Visayas, with a rating of 40.1%,” said Nathanielsz.

In Metro Manila, the fight rated 29.2% and in Mega Manila 27.3%. The suburbs registered a rating of 24.8%.

The balance of Luzon reported 33.5%, while North Luzon was at 28.7%.

GMA 7 out-rated the bout in Central Luzon where the Donaire-Vazquez match rated 21.6% on ABS-CBN, while GMA rated 22.8% on the same time slot.

In the fight, Donaire hammered out a split decision victory over Vazquez to take home the WBO super bantamweight title.

          Great numbers in Filipinas!

Donaire must be a household name by now there.

                  Viva Mexico!!

Boxing is very popular in Mexico, specially in Mexico City. The country has a lot of talent, unfortunately most kids can't afford to go to the gyms because its very expensive.

The @filipinoflash fight on Saturday did 1.5 milllion viewers. Went up to 1.88 million when @jcchavezjr1 fought. Outdid Luck on @hboboxing

It's highest since beginning of 2010, but I didn't go beyond that to look

Sergio Martinez has some followers besides some Argentineans. I am one of them because I support all Latinos with the exceotion of the ultradefensive, cowsrd ones ( mostly Ricans ).Of course I prefer Chavez but he should fight SM and the latter deserves the fight.
