Good news. He needs to do a better job of getting his hands wrapped next time. He might want to even consider using different gloves.

the swelling could come from a torn soft tissue as well
and the pooling of blood and the damage will show in the MRI

gets him some grant gloves, and a better wrap

Thats good news can't wait for Arce vs Donaire. You guys are dreaming if you guys think Bob Arum is putting this on the undercard to Pac vs Bradley. That would be a good fight on the undercard though.

If Arum was smart he would make less on this fight to build Donaire's fan base. Some Pinoys and Filipino Americans I know don't even know who Donaire is. Doing so would change that and might even convert other types of Pac fans.

It was expected, that hand didn't look broken. Still good news, hope he starts training very soon for his next fight, although I would like to see him against Nishioka and not Arce.

he probably should consider not jumping in with wild shots that can land anywhere, and often land awkwardly on the forehead. that'll do his hands no good.

you're a good poster and i'm sure you get this:


if you put an expensive undercard on a PPV it cuts into your profits


it might not sound like much to you guys, but when you think about how much money it costs to put on a show
promote the thing
pay your fighters
run your business, pay your employees
etc, you're looking at a HUGE overhead

and the expensive undercards cut right in to your profits
you do not need them. i'm sure arum keeps tabs on whether or not a stacked undercard makes him any extra money, an he's found that it does not.


again, the average casual fan doesnt know a single boxer not named pacquiao or mayweather, and they are the ones who drive PPV sales
hell, many casual fans dont even watch the undercards.



in business you are CRAZY to spend money regularly on something you dont need. perhaps he can do it once in a blue moon, but it's not something he can do regularly without costing himself millions of dollars per year.
and it's not something that he wants fans getting used to
