no one is talking about mayweather, man.I find it laughable that so many on the Donaire bandwagon label Floyd a ducker because he didn't fight Margarito and hasn't fought Pacquiao, but than turn around and come up with reasons as to why Donaire didn't fight Mares, Moreno, Agbeko, and now probably won't fight Rigondeaux, who is his biggest threat at 122. It's pure hypocrisy.Comment

Arce draws very well in the US (of course properly placed)I'm a big fan of both guys - donaire & rigondeaux and have been since Rigo's first pro fight and Donaire for years now.
Some haters are jumping on the Rigo bandwagon just to hate on Donaire, that's true, but others like me want to see the best fight the best and we have three guys - #1. Nishioka, 2. Rigondeaux and Donaire. These guys need to fight eachother, that's all I'm saying. There shouldn't be any excuses about who is a big draw and who isn't because there are no real draws at 122 in America besides Donaire.Comment

why?
there's no way Mayweather should be fighting _____ when there is Pacquiao out there
there's no way Pacquiao should be fighting ______ when there is Mayweather out there
there's no way Martinez should be fighting _____ when there is Sturm or Pirog out there
there's no way Bute should be fighting _____ when there are others outithere
etc etc etc
i agree with all of those, well except the martinez thing. u know im a huge mayweather fan, and ive said countless times that im not supporting another fight of his unless its either martinez or pac. i dont even really like the cotto fight, which ive also stated numerous times.
when u have a cosensus number one/ numbner two fighter in the division, if there is nothing scheduled they should absolutely fight each other. and this isnt even about rigondeaux, i would like to see that fight, but theres reasons why it shouldnt happen, the primary one being it should be nishioka before anything.Comment

I just dont understand how you can avoid a fighter by fighting an even better fighter.Hey I have been a Rigo fan since he turned pro.
If Nonito ends up fighting just Arce and Nishioka, than jumping to 126, how was he not avoiding a fight with Rigondeaux???
I just hope Bob lets Rigo fight who ever Nonito doesn't fight next. But, I am guessing he won't, because than that puts pressure on him to throw Nonito and Rigo in together. And Bob doesn't want that.
All you do is criticize donaire and his choice of opponents when he's chasing Nishioka, yet you wont even mention rigo's opponents. I wanna see who he fights while Donaire fights Arce and NishiokaComment

lol agreed. you know when some posters are hating...they become selective with their criticisms.Comment

donaire wants to make money with arce who can blame him??? arce is a name and has a following... but nonito and his manager made it clear he will fight both nishi and rigo to unify the belts at 122.....Comment

Bul*****, it was 3 pounds above where he fought and has been a long time champ. The only one that has business moving up is Donaire?
You day this because you dont know.
And Ramos and WV2 were at the same level and thats Rigo's best win and most people see WV2 as a tune up for Donaire. You see the disparity?Comment

i dont hate donaire at all. after the vic win, i was firmly planted on his bandwagon, until it took him so long to fight another fighter of note. i wasnt around this site then so no1 would know. but look at my post history after the montiel fight, once again i was aboard that train ready to ride, then comes narvaez and then wv2, seriously, its hard to follow the guy atm for me.
that seems to be his pattern tho, one spectacular fight, then a series of poor fights, say hes gonna fight so and so, but then theres always a reason he doesnt, etc. ive been following him for quite a while. this is consistently the case.Comment

well that's not necessarily fair to Rigondeaux because with those guys lined up there really is no one left for Rigo to fight worth of note. The only guy out there is Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym but good luck making that fight happen as hbo/showtime have no interest in Thai fighters. So Rigo would likely have to go to Thailand to make that fight which isn't much money.
As of now this is the top 10:
1. Toshiaki Nishioka
2. Rigondeaux
3. Donaire
4. Akifumi Shimoda
5. Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym
6. Takalani Ndlovu
7. Steve Molitor
8. Rico Ramos
9. Masaaki Serie
10. Victor Terrazas
None of those fights are going to really raise rigo's stock much.Comment
