Arce should be an even easier fight than Vazquez; and Donaire couldve taken a couple of tougher fights, but for the guy that said this would be 3 "tuneups" in a row is laughable. Narvaez was the #1 wanked 115 lber in the world; although I admit, I wouldve rather seen a fight wit Moreno. Vazquez is a good first fight at a new weight class - a legit top 10 opponent. Same wit Arce. We know Donaire will school him, but thats only bc he's so good, not bc Arce is a joke.
If Donaire dont fight Nishioki or Rigo b/f the end of the year, then he deserves some heat.Comment

wow, i knew donaire had some people speculating about his "orientation" but what you just said about narvaez makes it seem all so obvious as to why donaire chose him. narvaez doesn't seem the type but i suppose everyone has a secret.Arce should be an even easier fight than Vazquez; and Donaire couldve taken a couple of tougher fights, but for the guy that said this would be 3 "tuneups" in a row is laughable. i preferred boxing when men were men and didn't touch each other in that sort of way.Comment

narvaez was much much smaller than donaire and being ranked at number 1 at 115 means nothing at 118. seriously, there was no chance in hell narvaez was gonna win that fight. it was a tune up. esp considering how deep 118 is. it was a ****ty fight. as far as vasquez and arce, also poor fights. who gives a hell where they are ranked, they are ranked at the bottom of the division in one of the weakest divisions in boxing. kudos to them. smh...Arce should be an even easier fight than Vazquez; and Donaire couldve taken a couple of tougher fights, but for the guy that said this would be 3 "tuneups" in a row is laughable. Aaaaa....NO! Hardcore fans know that when you have proven yourself, then you can be possibly CONSIDERED as the best in a division. 9-0 doesn't make you the best in any division YOU MORON!!!Comment

Narvaez was the next best option for Donaire at that time. Mares was booked to fight Darchinyan and Mares had to rematch Agbeko. The Mares fight cant happen anyway cause of the GB/TR feud and Chemito rejected a fight with Donaire earlier in 2011 after the Montiel fight. Who else was there for Nonito?narvaez was much much smaller than donaire and being ranked at number 1 at 115 means nothing at 118. seriously, there was no chance in hell narvaez was gonna win that fight. it was a tune up. esp considering how deep 118 is. it was a ****ty fight. as far as vasquez and arce, also poor fights. who gives a hell where they are ranked, they are ranked at the bottom of the division in one of the weakest divisions in boxing. kudos to them. smh...
Narvaez was the clear cut number one guy at 115 and would still be top ten if he was at 118. You cant expect Nonito to move up and fight Nishioka right away. He is the smaller guy coming up to test the waters so it would make sense to take on lesser opponents in the top 10 to build him up in that division.Comment
