I just don't understand how people can say Rico Ramos had no chance, which he really didn't, but then say Wilfredo Vazquez Jr was a great opponent. They are about equal, with both being pretty unproven.

Vazquez' first step up at all in competition was with a tiny Jorge Arce and he got TKO'd. Ramos hadn't stepped up either until Shimoda, and he was down on points, but wound up knocking him out. So, both were unproven, with Vazquez maybe even being les sproven than Ramos actually.

Donaire, Rigondeaux, Arce, Nishioka, it should be put into a tournament if you ask me.

The individual performances come into play. Ramos stood still and barely threw, and basically looked like he didn't want to be in the ring. At least Vazquez had a gameplan he thought would win him the fight.

Also, no one is saying Vazquez was a great opponent. He's just a nice win in Donaire's first fight at the weight.

That's true but Nonito should have steam rolled WV2, but his hand most likely played a roll for sure.

Ramos didn't engage at all after he got knocked down in the 1st, and Rigo should could have and should have gotten him out of there in the 2nd or 3rd.

With that said, there were plenty of times WV2 didn't really engage Nonito, but when he did try a thing here and there, he got tagged by Donaire, but he also managed to tag Donaire back after the first 4 rounds or so.

And some posters were saying "Give Donaire a break, he just beat a very solid opponent in WV2". But then, they say Ramos was s**t, when in reality, Rmos and Vazuqez Jr were about the same.

There's a fight that would be a good sort of crossroads fight, Ramos vs. Vazquez Jr. The winner would actually stay relevant at 122.

In the end, no one will really look back at Donaire fighting Vazauez Jr. It's a decent win, nothing more. It's about as important as when Floyd fought Sosa or N'dou, a decent win, but nothing more.
