RIgo fans are a very promising bunch!

i'm waiting for a terrific nickname for them to surface
if he gets a chance to dust another no hoper you can bet they'll be out in force again

perhaps then somebody will come up with the nickname

      that's very poor reasoning.
anyway, the way you phrased it before suggested that donaire fans and logical fans are different things. i know what you meant but i couldn't help but make a joke out of it.

Fair points, but anyway, I think Rigo is too much for Donaire at this time. Donaire already seems would have a hard time beating natural bantams like Mares, Agbeko or Moreno. Any of those guys will jump to fight him.

Since you're a Rigo fan, you know what Rigo problem is.

He is putting too much energy in a fight that he can't get right now. Donaire-Arce as lame as it is has been a long time ago.

Rigo needs to put his energy in fighting Nishioka. Try to get that on the undercard of Donaire-Arce.

Rigo hasn't really fought anyone in the top level yet. Rico Ramos and a faded Cordoba ain't it. Yes I know he only has a handful of fights OK. So does Kazuto Ioka who won his best and beat Oleydong is probably better than anyone Rigo has fought.

If Rigo fights and beats Nishioka that would put more pressure on Doniare to make the Rigo fight happen. As of right now, Donaire should feel no pressure in fighting Rigo.

Donaire has good power, it just seems to be slightly overrated after the Montiel fight.

And lets not start talking about Wilfredo Vazquez Jr as some really tough opponent. He's not better or worse than Rico Ramos, who the Rigo haters like to bring up all the time now. WV2's first step up from no names at all was against tiny little Jorge Arce and he got TKO'd by Arce. WV2 was about as proven as Ramos and had really done nothing to suggest he was going to beat Donaire, just like everyone knew Ramos was going to lose to Rigondeaux.

While Donaire fought top people at Flyweight and Super Flyweight, besides Montiel, he didn't really fight the top people at 118 either. He didn't end up fighting Mares, Moreno, or Agbeko. And Vazquez is no better than Rico Ramos at 122 either. Vazquez had fought no one at all, literally no one, before fighting tiny Jorge Arce last year, and he got TKO'd. Ramos hadn't fought anyone until Shimoda either, and he was down on points, but ended up with the KO victory to win a title.

So Vazquez was about as proven as Rico Ramos, if not maybe even less.

All Rigo haters on here are failing hard.

                  Argue with this:

Donaire's 7th fight was vs Mark Sales 7-16-2

Nishioka's 8th fight was vs Momotaro Kitajima 5-0-0

Rigondeaux 7th fight vs Ricardo Cordoba 37-2-2

Lulz @ people complaining about Rigo's performance in that fight.

Its obvious people are unaware of how power relates to a raise in weight.

Ok so basically to keep power at a higher weight class basically means that you can do to those opponents what you did to opponent of a lower weight. But for this to happen, you need to increase your power, not just maintain it because guys at higher weights are able to take punches better and are much tougher.

And this increase in power cannot come over night or from one fight to the next. It is a gradual increase.
