Maybe, Maybe not. Different opponent, different gameplan. Take for eaxmple: Donaire Vs Montiel - He didn't open up that much and was a little cautious since he knows Montiel was a big puncher too and also very good boxer. While in this fight, you can see him putting his hand down and getting hit, because he knows he can take whatever Vasquez Jr will throw and he want him to open up more so that he can counter. He was also looking for a spectacular KO. This is his first fight in the 122 division, he should be more comfortable the next fight. One thing he needs to improve though, is body punching and getting rid of those showboating. Congatz to Donaire. Our second 4 time world Champ after Pacquiao.

this is a good plan, but is team donaire targeting nishioka? we can reverse it and have arce vs rigo then our mega-fight ...

Not really, the fight was pretty even and according to the scorecards by winning the last round Arce would have won that fight.
