Common Opponents Of Cotto and Mayweather

Terrible comparison due to different boxing styles. Those guys hit Cotto a lot more than they hit Floyd. Floyd would rather get the W by decision and not get hit than KO a guy in an all-out war. Actually, every boxer would, some just don't have the defensive skills to do it. Cotto is one of those fighters.Comment

I would say Floyd beat Chop Chop pretty bad and was certainly trying to take him out, maybe not the whole time as he realized it wasn't going to happen but he certainly gave stopping him a try. That was also his first fight at 140.
Judah also got beat bad in the end, Floyd looked on his way to stopping him before the riot then jsut kind of cruised after as the moment had passed. It was his second fight at welter although his first against a guy who actually did anything at the weight.Comment

Cotto had the better results/performances, Mosley aside. But in fairness Cotto is a more aggressive guy and the harder puncher so it doesn't quite tell the story plus Mayweather faced everyone first aside from Mosley and thats the one fight he looked better in.1. Justin Juuko - Cotto (W)TKO 5th round and Mayweather (W)TKO 9th round
2. Victoriano Sosa - Cotto (W) TKO 4th round and Mayweather (W) UD
3. Demarcus Corley - Cotto (W) TKO 5th round and Mayweather (W) UD
4. Zab Judah - Cotto (W) TKO 11th round and Mayweather (W) UD
5. Shane Mosley - Cotto (W) UD and Mayweather (W) UD
Other than Mosley Cotto has done better than Floyd against their common opponents. Also Cotto beat Mosley 3 years before Floyd did.
I dont think we can read to much into this stuff but its a good bit off fun so thanks for highlighting it
