Common Opponents Of Cotto and Mayweather

    1. Justin Juuko - Cotto (W)TKO 5th round and Mayweather (W)TKO 9th round
    2. Victoriano Sosa - Cotto (W) TKO 4th round and Mayweather (W) UD

    4. Zab Judah - Cotto (W) TKO 11th round and Mayweather (W) UD

Different styles, different fights. Getting the KO doesn't necessarily equate doing better. Cotto has more power than Floyd and usually grinds guys down while Floyd aims to dominate by boxing.

Exactly. Floyd has not always gone for the KO.

There really is no denying that, Cotto got the better results. They have different priorities in a fight - Cotto was out to beat guys up and Mayweather is/was safety first fighter.

better results? thats fair. because a knockdown is considered better than a ud. with that said, it wasnt like any of those fights were close for either fighter. they were landslides for floyd as well as cotto, well except judah i guess, who gave both trouble at points in the fight.

I wouldn't call them landslides. Cotto was hurt badly by Corley and got a gift stoppage a little later. He also had a few competitive rounds with Sosa. Can't comment on Juuko, of all these fights Cotto-Juuko is the only one I've never seen.

What applies to Pac, applies to Cotto. It doesnt matter how they look against the same opponent. Styles make fight and they'll do whatever they do best.

floyd got hurt against corley too, remember, and i dont think the stoppage was a gift, if not a bit pre-me. and sosa put up a good fight against floyd too, another very similar fight for both.
