Hatton gotta gift decision against Collazo. So winning a belt in your ONLY fight at 47 justifies you being a 47 fighter? Margarito himself said he had trouble making 47 against Mosley but he had no complaints against Pacquiao. Cotto had no complaints and didnt use fighting at 45 his excuse either.

I dont think anyone who follows boxing thought Ortiz would win against Mayweather. Margarito at least has heart to keep fighting.
You talk as if the Maidana fight happened right before the Mayweather fight. The fact is Ortiz was the best welterweight outside of Pacquaio that Mayweather could have faced. Whether anybody thought he could win is irrelevant since Mayweather has been favored against any fighter he's faced with the exception of Diego Corrales.

Hatton-Cololazo was a close competitive fight. So lets stop with the hyporbolic gift decision crap. And Margarito only complained about the weight after he lost. You also must have missed when Cotto recently said he was weakened by the catchweight. Whether it's true or not he did "complain"

Roberto Duran quit too. Should his whole career be defined by that?

It doesn't matter when it happened. A fighter doesn't just one day change and has heart all of a sudden. Vic was the best available fight for May at that particular time but the guy I was responding to hyping Ortiz to discredit Pac.

Hatton/Collazo was close... Toooo close. You're the one acting as Hatton is a 47 fighter when he only had one fight at that division prior to fighting Floyd.

So Roberto Duran has no heart?

So what if Hatton had one fight at 147. It's only a seven pound difference which you are obviously using as an excuse for his performance. Mayweather didn't beat Hatton with size avantages.

Hatton walks around much heavier than Mayweather does.Tim Bradley is likely fighting Pacquaio at 147. With your logic Bradley is too small to move up seven pounds.

                Try to keep up, Troll.

"He had no problems in dealing with Margarito at 150. He hasn't had problems with anyone regarding weight. With Joshua Clottey, they fought at 147. I [went] down to 145. The [rematch], I'm going to do it at my weight. I will not sacrifice my body again for the benefit of another boxer. It won't happen at 147 pounds."

Duran quit, didn't he? That tells a lot.

I know Mayweather didn't beat Hatton with a size advantage. My point against the other dude was that Pac fought the better version of Hatton. Hatton has proven a lot more at 40 then he has at 47.

Was Hatton the best opponent for May at the time? No, because Cotto, Margarito, Mosley were still out there. Bradley as of right now is the best possible option for Pac at WW or Jr WW.

Ortiz wasn't even a top 5 at Jr WW but is at WW because its a much weaker division and beat an overhyped Berto in a close decision.
