I believe that the only reason the fight didn't happen is because of Floyd and Bobs beef, and Cotto being a free agent.
Hear me out.........
Mayweather knows that the fight is a 50/50 fight. He also knows that Bob stands to make a truck load of money off the fight.
By fighting Cotto..... Floyd and Cotto can show Pacquiao just how much more money he could make if he was a free agent.
Cotto stands to make 30 million from what I hear.
Now if Cotto can make that much without Bob......imagine what Pacquiao could make?
I guarantee you that Pacquiao won't make that fighting Bradley.
The 40 million offer by Floyd was an insult and Floyd knew Pacquiao wouldn't take it.
So that gave Floyd a way out of the fight so that he could fight Cotto.(and blame pac )
Mayweather wants the fight with Pacquiao...but he doesn't want Bob Arum making all that money off of his name.
So by fighting Cotto....Mayweather is hoping that Pacquiao sees how much Cotto is making, and that it will convince pacquiao that he could make 100million without Bob.
Same thing Delahoya did to Mayweather..... Mayweather made more after he left Bob.
Same thing Mayweather is doing with Cotto.......Cotto is about the break the bank.
And the same thing could happen for Pacquiao....if he ever leaves Bob Arum.
So yeah...Bob Arum is to blame for the fight not happening, but not because Bob doesn't want it.
It's because Mayweather doesn't want Bob involved.

Honestly, when Arum wanted to get that bigger stadium many people were not caring about the money but just wanted to see this fight .... BUT now that the tables are turned and we found out that Floyd turned down what we ALL thought at the time was going to be a no brainer 50/50 deal then Floyd fans went on their usual "let's protect our hero" agenda.
Same thing happened with OST testing. People were polled and fans of both sides had agreed with 14 day cutoff was OK as long as we see this fight BUT again, once Floyd said no to that, then Floyd fans changed their tune and went on their usual "let's protect our hero" agenda is more important than seeing this fight.

Manny accepted the OST in which was the supposed issue but now Floyd came up with another excuse!
The funny thing about it is that some of Floyd's fans are actually buying this!

That's funny, what did pacquiao do, Jedi mind trick Floyd into wanting more money? You know you've smoked alot of crack when that makes sense. Basic comprehension isn't one of senior's strong points. I am going to enjoy watching him fight cotton though, but the silly excuses and absurd statements have got to stop. I just want to know if he's going to get any credit when he beats packs "leftovers". I said it before, that sword he's swinging has two blades on it, its best to handle with care.

- Mosley beat a weight drained Margarito and had a year and a half lay off before fighting May and was in the middle of a training camp with Berto before Andre pulled out. Perhaps he was over trained.
- He fought Hatton at 47 when Hatton was the lineal champ at 40.
- You're right about the ODLH one.
- Cotto was Margarito's leftovers but he's not when May is fighting him? Hypocritical, no? Cotto is a small SWW. He wanted to fight Margarito at 150.
- ODLH challenged Pacquiao when he was a LW. Manny was a big underdog before the fight. You expect a guy who started at 105 to jump 3 divisions?
- Pacquiao fought Hatton at 40, the division he ruled and was the lineal champ.
- If Cotto was damaged when he fought Margarito, shouldn't he be even more damaged now that Pac whooped him?
- Yes he does fight a slow Margarito, but one who outweighed him by like 16-17lbs on fight night. Cant disagree with you on the Mosley fight though.
- Ortiz had heart before and after fighting FLoyd. If getting knocked down a few times and getting up afterwards isn't having heart then I don't what you call having heart.
- Margarito was not weight drained so I don't know where that came from? He fought as a welterweight all of his life prior to getting knocked out by Mosley.
- True he did fight Hatton at 47; but, and there is a but. Hatton challenged Mayweather for his title so this is being discredited.
- Floyd fought Oscar at his weight and beat him.
- Cotto was not Margarito's leftovers, Margarito may have been cheating when he beat Cotto; hence, he couldn't beat or hurt Cotto in the second fight.
- ODLH did challenge a smaller Pacquiao, but at the same time; he drained the hell out of himself for the money; even Freddie Roach admitted it.
- Mayweather was outweighted against Ortiz by 14 pounds and still knocked out a young, fresh, strong opponent!!
What do MTN stand for? Most Terrible Nitpicker!!!

Another comedy show. The world already knows what kind of people these Mayweathers are...drug dealers, women/child beaters and a bunch of liars.
