      Sugar Ray Robinson-

      6mins shadow boxing
      10mins speedbag
      12mins double-end bag
      6mins shadow boxing
      10mins heavybag
      15mins skipping
      abs, med ball hits

He did roadwork in the mornings and tap-dancing in the evenings. He only did sparring to sharpen up in the week before a fight to get his timing.

Roy Jones Jr (as of 2002)-

After several rounds of warming up (and press ups) he did 12 rounds of boxing (pads/sparring/bags). Jones Jr did 4min rounds all the time and then did 16mins each on speedball and floor-to-ceiling ball. This was followed by 1200 reps on the abs (he had gradually increased total ammount of reps on the abs over time) and 16mins of skipping before a stretch. He also ran 5 miles in the morning followed by squats. He played basketball after lunch.

                Wow.
I would think - especially in Leonard's case with how rarely he fought that he would have a crazy training routine. I guess guys like that are just made for the sport or like Emmanuel Steward said when describing James Toney in the Jirov fight that he has so much experience that he can just fight off experience for a couple of rounds and do things instinctivly.

My bull**** source was wrong about 1-2min rounds for Ali and Leonard, but I just found the Angelo Dundee routine in Gary Todd's book and that is Dundee's routine in there now. So I assume both Ali and Leonard used the thing (it didn't work very well for Berbick against Tyson lol, or maybe Dundee adjusted it for a 12-rounder).

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to JUYJUY again.
