There has to be a reason manny wont fight cotto over 147. More dangerous? You can't mention pac/margorito cause cotto doesn't hit as hard. Also cotto wouldnt fight marg at 154. Hate him all you want call it leftovers but mays eating more.

That is a great idea!!!! Don't know if it would boost ppv sales but I would to see those 2 talking **** on 24/7 and at press conferences.

Dont need any of them. FLoyd Mayweather and Cotto Alone will sell great numbers and if they add S.Alvarez to the card, then the PPV will be IMO one of Floyd's biggest PPV nights behind DLH.

He could have went 50-50 with Pac and fought him. But he's ducking Pacman once again. All that calling on twitter was a stunt he knew Pac wont accept less than 50%.

People keep saying this fight should have taken place years ago, but it does better business now. When May defeated Hatton, I brought up Cotto as a good opponent for him, but people didn't even know who he was. Lots of you here, and PR boxing fans knew who he was, but the mainstream wasn't ready for that fight. This fight makes a lot more money now than it did four years or so ago.

If you think that it will not be competative, that it will be a blow out, that it will be a mismatch because Cotto "don't know ish" then you got another thing coming. Cotto's achilles heel is a larger, high volume, pressure fighter which was epitomized by one Margarito that stopped the young champ back in 08'. Last year he faced that challenge again and showed us how talented he is winning decisively.

Mayweather as good as he is, is not that achilles. Not imposing, not a high volume puncher. He is faster, has better defense, better footwork, but cannot apply pressure like Margarito or even Pacquiao did to Cotto unless he increases his output, engages, and gets hit like Margarito and Pacquiao, I don't think Mayweather is comfortable with that. I don't think that his defense will frustrate Cotto either, he is very composed, as he showed with Mayorga. If Cotto gets comfortable in there things will get interesting. A 35+ yo Mayweather fighting at 154 will be interesting to see too. Maywether is going to try to prove something that night, I hope he is willing to sacrifice and give us "blood and tears" of his own to do so. This is a challenge for both men.

I want Cotto to win, but I have May winning a decision. That might change though. I will go by feel on this one. Looking forward to camp news, the pressers, and 24/7. I agree with a small minority that the best thing that can happen is for Cotto to KO Floyd, and for Pacquiao's next opponent to KO him
