Back at welterweight, we know at Cotto rehydrated to around 159 pounds. (There's only one tale of the tape at welterweight that showed his fight night weight) And now we know he absolutely can't make 147 anymore, not even to avenge his one loss against the biggest name in boxing. Since he was only willing to come down to 150, lets just add 3 pounds to that 159 pounds and estimate that he comes at around 162 pounds at fight night now. In his last fight, Martinez came in at 165 pounds and back when he fought at Jr middleweight, he came in at 164. I don't buy that there would really be that big of weight difference between Cotto and Martinez.

There is more $$$$ in fighting Cotto and less risk. If he fights Martinez..he wont make as much and he has a very good chance of loosing

martinez looked like TRASH against barker & is fighting mathew ****ing macklin in his next fight......

martinez turned down a bout against pirog IN AMERICA (claiming that it wasn't enough money)

when pirog countered with the fight being in europe (to up the money) martinez said he doesn't want to fight in europe............no fight in america or europe............duck.

martinez in realty is extremely overrated........he had NO answers for barkers weak right hand.

there is a very big difference between cotto & martinez weight wise..........martinez walks around @ 175..........

his last fight is no indicator of his walk around weight because lou forced him to hydrate @ a more healthy weight so it wouldn't look as if he could go up to 168.........

in realty when martinez isn't boxing he walks around at 175.

martinez is much bigger then cotto.

If you are implying that Martinez and Cotto are relatively the same size you are simply 100% incorrect, that is all there is to it.

Sergio is easy work for Floyd. Floyd only wants to fight the best opposition.

Floyd will come in this Cotto fight maybe just above 150 on the scales..he has no business in there with Martinez, who if he fought at 154, would rehydrate from 154 to 10+ lbs atleast on fight..he would be an idiot to fight Martinez giving up that much weight..

with that said, Martinez still gets that a$$ beat..but he would have that advantage over mayweather

I am not talking about 150. I am talking about not even talking Martinez at all.

Cotto is basically the only fighter free right now. Everyone else is tied up.
