you do realize the level of opposition when Kirkland fought twice in a month is consdierably lower than Molina and Canelo back to back right?

two cant miss fights. i tend to doubt shane mosley would lay an egg against a guy who is as easy to hit as canelo. he's still got a big punch


kirkland and canelo could be the fight of the year

canelo is not like angulo
he can box
he's got faster hands than angulo (probbly only a bit slower than kirkland)
he's technical


obviously he's never been in the wars, but he's got more rounds and fights than angulo has. lots more. well over 100 rounds more than angulo. and almost 20 more fights.
he's got more experience with trying to box with or outbox a guy than angulo, who relied on being more physical than all of his opponents, which cost him when he ran into a brawler with as much power and strength, and much faster hands.

angulo had a very professional style and was moved very quickly in the pros after the olympics, and he never really developed any boxing craft

he was a bomber


canelo wont have any problem landing shots on kirkland
the question will be: can he outlast kirkland?

that i tend to doubt
if canelo cant stop kirkland i could really see him taking a beating in the later rounds. kirkland has very fast hands for a pure brawler. and when he's in shape he really is a monster. you dont want your 22 year old golden boy in there with that unlss you've very confident in his abilities

that's why i dont think that fight will be made until after canelo beats up on shane mosley (who is totally, shot, guys. lets face it. the margarito fight and the second round of the mayweather fight were his last hurrah)
