marquez has the style to beat pacquiao but i don't think he could beat cotto. marquez may be the best fighter mayweather ever fought but the easiest style matchup for him. so i guess your right. marquez may be better than cotto overall but i think cotto is far more dangerous for mayweather than marquez was.

JMM has SKILLS that Cotto lacks...Cotto won many of his fights on the scales...Tony ended that...Pac had the pull to make Cotto come in light.

The ONLY reason Cotto beats JMM is WEIGHT...

The stigma that's put on Cotto is that he's shot and worn out and will be picked apart by Floyd to a TKO (which is crazy to me). I favor Floyd, but i truly don't think this is an easy fight for Floyd.

Cotto is far from shot, this could be tougher than ppl think Cotto is a very good boxer himself.

I made this tread awhile ago & it was erased. Maybe because of the realness in it.

But yes the fight is legit. No it's not better than Pacman-Bradley,(if that fight is made). Cotto is a real champ in a real weightclass & Floyd does not need silly weight stipulations to fight him.

Martinez is the best available opponent for either. A win over him is better than a win over each other. However between 154 & 147 Bradley is the best fight that either could have taken.

I voted no not because of the weight which I think is fine but because I just feel that this is another win for Mayweather at the expense of fans both casual and hardcore alike since we know that neither Mayweather nor Pacquiao will lose until they face each other and quite frankly I am tired of appetizers.

Still I will root for at the very least an entertaining fight and I wish good luck to both Cotto and Mayweather.

good point of view. pacquiao and mayweather and all the tw*ts involved in making the fight NOT happen should be embarrassed. they've both been ducking each other, although i believe pacquiao is the one at it right now, and as far as i'm concerned that takes a heck of a lot away from their standing in the all time lists.
