Canelo only has to come in 2lbs lighter than normal, 1lb less than one of his very recent fights, and he can put on as much weight as he wants to after the weigh-in. There's a huge difference between the two so it's asinine for people to act like it's the same thing. But with Floyd, people will come up with anything to discredit him.
His team dropped the ball by doing this because it's not going to make much, if any difference and people are condemning him for it. I actually think it was his dad who wanted the catchweight, not Floyd himself. But if you actually understand the situation there's really nothing to complain about. We should just be grateful that he took the fight, he could have just said "Screw that, why should I take on a guy who walks around 20lbs heavier than me?". Instead he's giving us what we want to see, but he still gets no credit for it.
There was no rehydration clause with cotto or oscar fights.... Yes Cotto fight was at a catchweight, but oscar was not,,, Oscar was going to fight at welter in that fight no matter the opponent, it was either cotto, hatton etc and oscar ended up cherrypicking the lightweight manny and it backfired, at the time manny was considered a huge underdog....

The manny vs margs fight was NOT a weight drain....
Margs was a career welter, and manny was in alot lower weight classes,,
They only fought at jr middle for promoting reasons,, this way arum could promote it as manny's 8th division championship...
Manny walks around at 145 or so, so going to 154 was not logical, when fighting a career welter at 150 for a belt at jr mid...
People act like Margs was some monster at jr mid and mw and that manny made him come all the way down to 150,,, That is the opposite of what happened,, Manny actually made margs go up in weight so manny could fight for an 8th division title...

What's funny is, out of Floyd's own mouth was give me Oscar at 154, give me Cotto at 154, I want guys fighting at their most comfortable weight. Now he is fighting Canelo at 152.
And fanboys find any way to defend him. How can you defend that? Then they always want to bring Pacquaio's name back in it. Floyd brought all this on by himself with what he has said in the past.

Manny agreed to testing then FLoyd no longer agrees to 50/50 and demands ALL PPV MONEY. Floyd fans got amnesia and defended Floyd.
