Cotto is already damaged goods. Right now he is a Blown up 154 where he is actually a natural welterweight who just aged to higher weight coz that's what old men have deal with when you age you gain more weight. All it says is that Cotto is Old.

Now it's an old battle worn fighter. A left over ripe for the picking.
any boxer would agree that every single pound makes a difference

The Cotto who will be fighting Mayweather focuses more on boxing smartly.

I think the Cotto who will be fighting Mayweather has the edge though, because it's gonna be at 154 and not 145. The jump to 154 is unnatural for May and Pac whereas Cotto grew into it, and probably was drained for the Pac fight.
Neither, Cotto has always been a glorified Gatti that Floyd and Pac would beat.

The difference, Cotto is on a 3 fight KO streak. Unlike when Pac fought him. He still will get his ass beat just like he would have if it was at JWW or WW.

you can argue that but still that version is a lot lot better than now.

cotto been brutally beat two times now. Everyone was discrediting pac's win because of how Tony destroyed him. So now everyone is saying he is better after going trough two savage beatings??

Money Mayweather Floyd would have earned more fighting Pac. Floyd went to a safer route for less money. Floyd again choosing fighters at the late stage of the game.. I see a pattern here.

It just shows Floyd rather take less pay to duck Pac.

Floyd Jan 7th "I don't fight leftovers"... Ahhmmm Cotto??

Seems a pound matters to Freddie Roach who would not give Cotto a pound 146 , but he doesnt know anything about weight , not like some ******ed fanboy with a keyboard and an infatuation with his teenage idol , some of you talk utter **** .

oh yeah the funny thing is you Fanboy can't see that Cotto is being thrown in the gallows..

Beating up a dead horse ain't going to improve Floyd's legacy. Floyd is a fvkn Joke

Choosing less money fighting Cotto is a fuvkn' joke as well

Only shows Floyd is naturally bigger than Pac. And can be added to his number of road blocks.

            1.Drug testing
            2. 40 mill
            3. Floyd to Pac: Lets fight @ 154 punk!
            etc etc..

That said, Cotto 4years is definitely better no brainer unless you're a Floyd kiss azz hehe!

Oh btw, were is Cotto in the p4p list as of the present? Gotcha.. Take it easy *****

The Floyd version on paper is better in every way, physically and psychologically.

Age wise, Cotto still isn't at a point where one could say that he is over the hill. And fighting at 154 is a plus.

Physically, the fact that he isn't coming off of brutal losses (Margarito) and close decision wins (Clottey) benefits his body. Psychologically, he is in a better place since he avenged his loss to Margarito and should be more confident coming into the Mayweather fight, then when he was preparing for Pacquiao.

How can he be better when he is dehydrated with less muscle mass , lol , its like saying your better over the quarter mile with a dead spark plug and low octane fuel , your off !! what part of that you get , your timing is off , your snap is off , all just by a little bit , but a little bit in this game at this level is the difference in being hit or missed , and in landing or missing , it effects your whole game . sheeese you know nothing of the fighter and think of them as wind up toys .

That can only be answered after May 5th. We can sit here and make up some bull**** sugar coat it. But it remains to be seen in the ring against Mr Floyd Mayweather. But going by form. Cotto best opponent he's fought since Pacquiao was Margarito. He did not look great in that particular fight. He ran and was gassing out. This does not bode well for him againt Mr Floyd Mayweather.

The thing is, it was 3 years ago, Cotto was closer to his prime, he was fresher, he had recently fought better fighters(and lost/draw imo)than now, Mosley(Draw), Margarito(obviously a loss), and Clottey(loss), but Mosley, Clottey, Margarito>Foreman, Mayorga, Margarito II. He's been fighting sh*it fighters and winning. He didn't impress me against neither Mayorga or Margarito II.
What more could of Cotto done in the second Margarito fight other than win every single round (but 1) and break Margarito's eye for the second time?
