For the fight to realisticlly be made Canelo would probably have to agree to 3 or 4 guaranteed and Cotto 7 or 8. And I don't think Floyd would want to give Cotto 7 or 8.
Not guarantees, but thats what they should be walking away with.

If Cotto got 12/13m from the Pacquiao fight, then he should be getting 20m from the Mayweather fight this time around.

Canelo is a huge star and the fight being when it is, can make these demands If Floyd doesn't want to pay him a fair share then he can go and fight Morales.

Either Cotto or Alvarez will fight Floyd IMO. The thing Floyd needs or has realized is that either one are legitimate draws. Neither Mosley nor Ortiz could draw like Cotto or Canelo. Cotto nor Canelo need Floyd Jr to sell tickets. They can do it on their own. So of course if they fighting him they're going to ask for a bigger guarantee than either Shane or Ortiz asked for. Also a bigger split I would assume than either Shane or Ortiz asked for. Which in return I would think would make Floyd guarantee drop. And, it's interesting if he will be willing to do that after all that stuff he talked about Pac guarantee.

        ortiz is a complete bonehead
        moving up from 140
and you saw how the fight went

mosley was coming off of a big win, but it was followed by a huge layoff
after that fight he fought to a draw with sergio mora. i had mora winning that fight, but i saw it on a junk stream and will never be watching it again. and then manny pacquiao dropped him and shut him out.

and marquez is a bonafide ATG but let be honest; he's a small LW at the end of his career with a style that couldnt be better for floyd (a smaller, slower counterpuncher.)

canelo is at least as risky as these guys
i'd pick canelo to walk right through ortiz resume, without getting dropped twice by berto and knocked out by marcos maidana
Yeah we saw that sucker punch. Other than that I saw a young kid putting it on Floyd. must we continue to have to post the same videos over again showing Ortiz putting it on Floyd.

You're crazy. Neither one are walking away with that much. They'll each probably have to take 30% of PPV revenue, if that(deals are different some offer larger guarantees or higher % of revenues but not both especially with Floyd).

If Cotto gets guaranteed 7 million he'll walk away with 12-15 million...a HUGE payday, that's entireley fair.

Canelo will probably walk away with 7 or 8 million....also probably quadruple his career high pay day....and also fair.

Kind of pi$$es on Floyd's idea that he is a bigger draw than Pacquiao if he can't guarantee Cotto a bigger pay day than his fight with Pacquiao, especially now Cotto is a bigger draw himself.

That has nothing to do with it. It just means that Floyd won't concede what Pacquiao would and would keep more of it to himself. Which he can do because he IS the bigger draw and he answers to no one.

He should stick with lefties, in order to prep for Pac. That leaves Guerrero and Ortiz.

Floyd robbing his opponents that why he takes more, Pacquiao's recents fights draws more but he gives his opponents a fairer shake.

Cotto and Alvarez should fight each other and split a guarantee 12-15m and leave Floyd fight the like of Guerrero.
