Does anyone else have the feeling from watching this shadow boxing that Wlad would win in a real match?

because they don't have to. Why the *** would they stand at mid range and give up their reach advantage. Why didn't Ali stand in the pocket and bob n weave like Tyson....because he didn't have to.

I hear guys on here constantly saying how Vitaly likes to mix it up. Why not mix it up mid range? Would that not only be more exciting, but demonstrate a higher skill level rather than just using your height and reach? And Ali did stand in the pocket making opponents miss and countering them...in case you were unaware.

ali had lightning fast hands and reflexes throughout the 60's and to a lesser degree the early 70's
and he still took lots of punishment over the course of his career

you can make the argument that ali liked to scrap far too much for a man with his dimensions and talents.

vitali is a great ring general
            it's his greatest attribute
he fights exactly where he should be fighting for the most part.

I agree with all of this, but it would still be more exciting to see him fight mid-range, slipping punches and countering...no? Especially considering he almost always has a significant advantage in size.

Yeah, but the guys Williams had trouble against weren't stiffs. And again....wouldn't it be so much more exciting?
