Floyd is being greedy, but people are still missing the point or have short memories. Before they even knew Floyd was going to be stubborn and unreasonable on this issue, they didn't want any part of this fight. TR wasn't returning phonecalls to even discuss terms, and Bob had no idea who to call??? They wanted to fight when Floyd was in jail or build a stadium. Seriously, Floyd is being a douche, he should just offer 50%of everything and fight, but let's not pretend Manny and Bob weren't running away from this faster than Usain Bolt in the 100.

      Think about it this way:

      FLOYD

      - Floyd pays Haymon 5% to act as manager/adviser. It's been said before he takes btw 5-7% for fighters he manages.
      - Ellerbe and Roger i believe would be on a flat fee of about 250K per fight.
      - GBP probably takes a flat fee for the promotional work they do and pay for, or a small % of PPV and gate revenue. Additionally Floyd probably dips into his own pocket to pay for a large share, if not majority share of the promotional costs. He would use GBP because of their existing infrastructure, ie human capital, experience and contacts.
      - 25K each to Nate Jones and other training assistants.
      - Pay any staff who do any work at FMJ promotions.

      MANNY

      - Pay Bob 27%. His cut as he dips into his own pockets to promote.
      - Pay GBP 5%-10% or whatever they are entitled to. They get this weven if they don't spend a cent.

.....the rest pretty much is similar to Floyd's expenses and hangers on.

The first payment for Manny is the killer. Also he really doesn't know how much revenue Bob is taking his cut from. Bob could be taking more revenue than he is entitled to after expenses etc, and Manny wouldn't have a clue.
LOL nobody's gonna read all that.

Yeah, and since Arum is putting up the money he's the one that's enjoying the profits. On the other side, it's Mayweather that is putting up the money beside paying the fee to Golden Boy to promote the event which is what Check Hook wrote about earlier.

floyd is not in a position to limit pac's purse. he can negotiate to get a higher percentage but he can't put a ceiling to what can pac get. floyd can negotiate and if he's lucky, pac might give in to 55-45 sharing in favor of floyd (52-48 most likely). problem is floyd and his greedy a$$ is not even willing to do that. he wants pac's money to be exactly $40 million so if their fight will make 3 million ppvs, floyd will make around $100 million or much more. how is that fair?

First, my opinion- Pac may not deserve parity based on the numbers but he definitely deserves a share of the PPV revenue and as a fan I want Floyd to give it to him just to make the fight happen.

The facts: $40MM is a record guarantee and not much less than what Oscar earned against Floyd in the biggest money fight of all time. Floyd IS taking a risk offering such a high guarantee.

And whether or it you agree with Floyd, this should put it into perspective: in walking away from $40MM without negotiating, Pac turned down almost twice what he's been making per fight over the last few years and will once again be fighting for about half of that.

these floyd apologists are funny...they're looking at what pac can get but they're totally ignoring what floyd could possibly get. this is not just about the amount...it's also about disparity. if you limit pac to $40 million, floyd will get double of that. that's a ****ing duck move right there if floyd will insist that pac will get $40 million. he doesn't really want to fight that's why he's asking for the heavens.

Fitting username. I'll repeat, since it goes unnoticed and hasn't been acknowledged, Manny is turning down an amount that is almost double what he's used to making, and almost double what he can go and make elsewhere.
