Hell no. He knew since he made a reservation for MGM that he was going to fight Canelo. Canelo calling him out after Cintron fight.
All this twitter BS, calling out Manny, step up punk is just a bunch of nonsense from Floyd.

It was a negotiation, but albeit a ****** offer. That's why people are coming to these conclusions.

I don't class that as a negotiation, Nothing gets negotiated without Arum.

The last convo that went on as far as this so-called round of negotiations went was when Floyd spoke directly with Pacquiao on the phone. According to an interview Floyd gave to Floydhype, Floyd stated that Manny told him "50/50 and I"ll fight you anytime". We soon found out that Floyd made a counter-offer of a $40mil flat fee with no PPV upside for Pac. Now given this counter offer from Floyd, its hard to believe that he was ever serious about fighting Pac on May 5th and only wanted to keep his name in the press by using twitter to call Pac out.
            Sure he was serious.

Pac was ready to fight JMM on the 5th when it looked like Floyd was going to jail....but as soon as the judge pushed his sentence back.....all of a sudden...May 5th was out of the question..

Arum said 5050 was out of the question...if anybody was never serious it was Pac and his MASTER...

One thing is clear, neither guy is bending over backwards to make this fight happen. They are happy making $25+ million fighting lesser opponents.

They are happy robbing Pac while making easy fights against shot to hell Top Rank plodders..

I'll never understand this concept: Pacquiao says that he will accept a smaller share of the purse to make the fight happen. You have many Pacquiao fans praising Pacquiao for going that far to make the fight happen. Then you have Mayweather, who calls him out on it, apparently saying that a 50/50 split won't happen, and the same people that praised Pacquiao for saying he'd accept a smaller share almost immediately say Mayweather was never serious about making the fight.

Meanwhile you have the whole Top Rank company throwing out every excuse they can come up with for why they can't do the fight, and somehow most of the blame still goes on Floyd, when in fact there were never any serious negotiations to begin with to actually negotiate terms on a split -- which is why Mayweather is a complete idiot to email Sportscenter with that babble about the 50/50 split.

People on these forums crack me up

Floyd: I'll offer you 40 millions PAC.

Arum: **** we'll offer you 45 millions Floyd . Floyd: Hell no, I can make more than that off of this fight.

                  Arum: Duh

                    Let's move on people.

This fight is not meant to happen.
