Was Floyd ever serious about fighting Pac on May 5th?

Aside from all the B.S excuses that came out of Arums mouth, does anyone here really think Floyd really wanted to face Pac on May 5th?

The last convo that went on as far as this so-called round of negotiations went was when Floyd spoke directly with Pacquiao on the phone. According to an interview Floyd gave to Floydhype, Floyd stated that Manny told him "50/50 and I"ll fight you anytime". We soon found out that Floyd made a counter-offer of a $40mil flat fee with no PPV upside for Pac. Now given this counter offer from Floyd, its hard to believe that he was ever serious about fighting Pac on May 5th and only wanted to keep his name in the press by using twitter to call Pac out.

Hell Yes. All Pac had to do was accept Floyd's offer.

Hell No. It was a ridiculous offer and he never intended on fighting him May 5th.

Yes. He just tried to take advantage of Pacquiao saying he'd take less money to fight. We can't comment on whether or not he'd accept a 50/50 split because the 2 camps never had legit negotiations.

how do you knwo that Floyd didnt say a bigger purse before Pac even said 50/50 over the phone. In Pac's 1st few interviews he didnt even say anything about Floyd saying he wanted a bigger purse. We dont know what order who said what on the phone and even if true, you dont know if Floyd still had his mind set on what Pac already said. You cant ignore the fact that Pac did say he would take the lesser purse.

Doesnt matter though. Who cares anymore. I dont think either side wanted to fight right now. I think both sides wanted it late in the year for different reasons

The refusal of 50-50 makes the think. I was almost on Floyd's side, now I'm back to thinking neither guy wants it. Just stringing us along to sell us their other fights.

I really thought he was but that flat fee thing and turning down 50/50 makes me think no.

One thing is clear, neither guy is bending over backwards to make this fight happen. They are happy making $25+ million fighting lesser opponents.

Newsflash!!! Ringing Paq and offering him $40M isn't negotiation!!! Arum/Paq does not want to fight on May 5th and not for June 9th neither.
