What I like about Martinez is that he can fight very well while tired, watch the Paul Williams fight, also the Pavlik fight, but that wouldn't work too well against Trinidad as Tito doesn't slow down and keeps coming. It'll be pretty competitive early on but Tito takes over eventually. Trinidad, unlike anyone Martinez has faced, will touch Martinez's body a lot.

Tito Trinidad vs Sergio Martinez @ 154LBS

Sergio has good legs but I dont think he would use them much. He likes to trade (IE, Pavlik, Wiliams).
He trades with Tito and its over in 8-10. TKO Stoppage, I think he will take a few and maybe his pride will keep him up...Joe Cortez steps in and saves his life.

Martinez W - 20 L - 1 w/6KO's (only loss Margarito @ 147lbs)
Trinidad W - 36 L - 0 w/30KO's (Undefeated beat Oscar, Oba Carr, Whitaker, Camacho sr)
The question is at 154lbs who wins right? Well @ 154lbs I have to give it to Martinez on paper and on paper is where this will happen right?
Martinez W- 27 L- 1 w/21KO's & 2 draws (Pavlik, Williams, Serhiy Dzinziruk 37-0 no one wanted to fight him)
Trinidad W- 6 L- 3 (Vargas, Joppy, Mayorga)
Based on their records alone I would go with Martinez above 147lbs......LEFTY
Anyways, that's not really a good way to breakdown a fight.

Whether it is at 154 or 160 I give the edge to Martinez since he has won and kept titles at both those weights and Tito lost big matches above 147lbs....LEFTY

Reid w/UD
Vargas w/TKO 12
Mamadou Thiam w/TKO 3
He moved right to 160lbs to meet Hopkins and after that only 4 fights since 2001. In those 4 fights after Hopkins he was 2-2 with losses to Winky and Jones at 160 and 170lbs. His two wins were against Hacine Cherifi who after his loss to Tito was 4-5 and retired in 2005. His other win was against Mayorga who was 3-3 since his clash with Tito and tasted the canvas and was KO'd in all three of his losses. After saying all that I stand behind my pick of Martinez to beat Tito at 154lbs and above.....LEFTY
