What you guys did for the sport of boxing occurred way before my time, but nevertheless, I love to give people the respect they're due for shaping the way boxing is today. Thank you guys.

Talking about Hagler, an interesting side note. Hagler stayed with Top Rank for his whole career after signing, and was very happy with them even though it took years for him to get a title shot. Don King tried to steal Hagler, and influencd Hagler's wife. She tried to put pressure on him to sign with King.

So he said '.......if you try to interfere with my business again, I'll stop supporting your mother....". Very effective this was.
