I'm not going to lie, there have been several thread that I wanted to comment on, only to read your post, and see that you summed up my exact thoughts on the topic.

Ironically I was just watching Alvarez vs Gomez earlier today as well as the Cintron fight.

Alvarez is nothing more than a glorified prospect.

Could he be great....possibly, but he is in the same category as guys like Broner, Russell Jr., Jesse Vargas and others.

Canelo has a punchers chance. That's about it. He certainly isn't out boxing Floyd, nor does he have the skill set to out muscle or pressure Floyd to a decision win

Floyd might be the underdog in this one

Unless Floyd falls apart as a fighter Canelo doesn't stand a chance even if he fights the fight of his life.

With the Ortiz fight there was some reason to think Floyd might not be the same, long lay off and issues piling up. Currently Floyd is a bit older but he fought recently and his issues are cleared up so why would Floyd just fall apart now.

                      Can't see it
