It is what it is. I don't really care. In due time, if our fighters are worthy, they'll get the recognition and the money they deserve. That performance versus Molina didn't earn Erislandy any points in that regard. True, Lara was robbed against Williams, but you have to show up every time out. That's how stars are made.

Gamboa is close to stardom. He just needs one breakout fight, like Rios. You've gotta give Rigo some time. He's only got 9 pro fights and is still shaking off that amateur mentality. Lara is simply being avoided. If Erislandy lands a belt, like he hopes to this year, his career, and possible stardom, will be in his hands.

Lara is going to have a hard time doing that if belt holders want no part of him which I doubt they do because he is very good but unknown.

He is going to need to create a lot more demand for himself if he wants to do that, if he wins this first fight then fights again in the summer against a real quality guy and handles them, maybe at the end of the year he could be in position to fight someone for a strap.

He has a lot of work to do though, but he has a lot of talent so he may be able to complete the task at hand.

What you're describing is exactly why Erislandy is having trouble finding quality opposition in the first place. Lara has been calling everyone out since the Williams fight. He's being avoided, in large part, because of what everyone saw he did to P. Will.

Sadly...it is a lot of B!TCHES in boxing today who hide behind their Promoters and Cherry Pick fights and only want to fight guys they know they can beat

so Lara will likely be avoided by all of those overrated bums in that 154 Division

Depend what the judges are looking for, the guy that throw more even though he never land anything clean or the one that throw alot less but did the most damaged, to me it was a fair decision, Molina make the fight ugly and Lara was not aggressive enough, I remind you guys that Lara had a problem with his tooth three days before the fight and Shields was training and off to Ireland with Rigondeaux.
