I'd be very surprised. It took one of the most brutal fights ever for Castillo to get stopped at lightweight. Neither Pac nor Marquez would fight him that way or land the leather to do the same.
will Pac and Marquez KO the Castillo Floyd fought at 135??

Neither one of them would come close to knocking him out and I question if either could beat him. Castillo could box and brawl, had a great chin, strong jab and stamina and was an excellent in-fighter. He was proven against lefties, as shown in his two fights with Stevie Johnston, another underrated fighter. He was the real deal and perhaps the best lightweight in a while.Comment

Those are great fights. I don't have Marquez beating that version of Castillo and Castillo vs Manny is 50/50 to me.
Are we basing these answers off of the fighters that they are right now and placing them at that weight or are we going off of the fighters they were back then when Castillo was prime and placing them at that weight?
Depending on what the TS is looking for I might change my answers.Comment

People grossly underestimate Castillo as a lightweight. He was really good. Very far from Juan Diaz or David Diaz.Comment

Yeah hes absolutely one of the greatest lightweights of the past 10 years. Possibly the greatest. I mean who is there to contend? Mosley maybe if we go back a few more years.Comment

Mosley might've beat him head to head but in terms of resume, his was pretty weak compared to Castillo's. I give JLC the nudge there.Comment

Anyone who thinks on this forum Castillo had the style, speed, power to beat Manny doesn't know shyt about boxing.
Manny is an horrible match up for Castillo.
Styles make fights, for some reasons Castillo gave hell to Mayweather once or twice, Marquez to Manny three times.
I don't see Castillo being smart, landing traps, feinting, moving and dodging punches like JMM did, he would go face first and end up koed.Comment
