George Peterson - "Mayweather/Pacquiao will never happen!".

For those of you wondering to George Peterson is, he's an affiliate of Al Haymon and has also managed and trained Paul Williams.

Back in 2009 during an interview, George Peterson was quoted as saying "Maywether vs Pacquiao will never happen. Some fights just aren't meant to be and this is one of them!".

My question is, does George know something that the rest of the boxing world outside of Floyd's team doesn't know? How can he go on record and make such a statement with such certainty? When pressed to answer why he feels that it will never happen, he just keeps repeating that "it will never happen!".

Felt it was relevent to bring this up since here we are 3yrs later and for whatever reasons, this fight is still yet to be made. George just might have certainly been on to something.

It certainly sounds like he knows something but cannot say. As has been mentioned many times, it quite possible that there is some sort of agreement behind closed doors to never make this fight. They do what they can to make the boxing world think there are intentions with fake negotiations when in reality, there are none because they can generate more money not fighting each other.

Personally, i think this is a very viable ploy for Pacquiao as I'm certain he'd take a clear beating from Mayweather. If the TopRank match makers know whats good for Manny, they certainly know what isn't. After a loss to Mayweather he just wouldn't be able to generate the kind of money and attraction he once could.

My hopes of this fight have pretty much vanished.

For floyds sake it had better happen this fight or Floyd wont be even top 50 ATG.

Pacs agreed testing so why wont the fight happen, Floyds run out of excuses.? Pac overcame the hurdle of testing and now Floyds put another unnecesarry barrier up?
Floyds seems to be having all the benefits, i want to know what benefits will Pac have? Willhe be able to choose ring size, gloves size and ref even.?
