Cotto's face is swollen because Marg did land some punches, but it was mainly from Cotto blocking a ton of them with his gloves. Just go rewatch the fight, Marg was just hitting Cotto's gloves. Its going to produce swelling it doesn't mean you're going to or were hurting someone. As for Cotto tiring... ok and? He was clinching a lot more, sure Marg landed 4-5 slaps in a row, but then Cotto would break the clinch and landed three STRAIGHT left hooks with about a minute left in the ninth. So what if a guy lands almost the same amount of punches, the power behind Cotto's were more far more damaging than anything Marg did and he also threw about 400 more punches. A guy who lands less but throws nearly double more shows he doesn't even belong in the same ring.

Saying Cotto would "probably" lose to the best 3 fighters in the world....you really showed "honesty" there.

Get real. Cotto would lose to a lot of the top guys in and around his division outside of those 3.

Come on man, if we lived out sports lives based on what if's??? We would never be happy as fanatics...If that's the case, I have a few hundred what if's also. What if someone from Cotto's corner actually checked Margaritos gloves the first fight? We would've had the same outcome we had the second fight...that's straight up BS

How is that BS? Considering the fight happened in N.Y (where the people actually booed the mexican anthem) its a touché subject. Also considering the first fight was of cotto kicking Margos ass before he gassed out, this seemed to play out the same except for the fact that Cotto was in a much better place than he was the first fight. Also Cotto never stopped moving so I cant exactly give a hypothesis on the plaster since Cotto was marathoning backwards.(He used to have to set and then punch which wasnt the case in this fight)
