Just rewatched Cotto vs Margarito 2...

Ive watched the fight many times and no one is gonna convince me that those last 9 minutes were going to be very uncomfortable for Cotto.

So what does very uncomfortable have to do with getting beat down? The only reason people say this is because Cotto got tired. Ok... what exactly is the problem? A guy getting tired doesn't mean he'll lose the fight or even catch a beating, Margarito's shots had nothing on them. Marg doesn't hit hard with a head in his chest walking him back, he can't plant his feet, he is then dumb enough when Cotto's backs up and unloads some shots he walks into them. Sure he can take them, but he's just making it look that much worse for himself. Cotto had been getting tired since the 7th or 8th, the corner already had asked for one more round, he had failed twice already. I didn't want them to stop it even knowing was getting tired, its a fight. If he wanted to see better he should have learned how to block a left hook.

Um, as much of a **** trainer Garcia is...round 9 WAS Margarito's best round, that's a fact. You don't need to be Einstein to see that. 25 out 78 power punches landed, while Cotto landed 23. Before that, Margarito was landing 15-16 power punches per round, so that was his best round by a lot.

The fight totals were 148 Cotto, 131 Margarito. If you ask me, Margarito was very well in the fight. Any one is in the fight with Cotto's defensive flaws. Margarito did a lot better than I expected. But the fight still ended as I predicted: Margarito's eye wasn't gonna hold up for 12 rounds.

He lost every round. How was he very well in the fight?

I think the fact that he got knocked down, stumbled back to his corner and his eyes were rolling around in his head showed that he was hurt against Shane.

None of which happened or ever will happen against Cotto.
